Drop Everything and Read! 📖

In line with the implementation of the National Reading Program as an integral component of the National Learning Recovery Program (NLRP), the Department of Education implements Catch-up Fridays.

Starting this January 12, 2024, through the Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) Day, this initiative aims to provide learners with the opportunity to engage in independent silent reading of their preferred material.

Catch-up Fridays is designed to strengthen the foundational, social, and other relevant skills necessary to actualize the intent of the basic education curriculum by focusing on the development of learner's reading, critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills.

Para sa Categories 1, 2, at 3, tanging ang mga nagwagi lamang sa Regional Level ang tatanggapin sa National Level. Maaaring makipag-ugnayan sa Learning Resources Management Section ng inyong regional office (RO) at schools division office (SDO) para sa mga kalendaryo.

Para sa Categories 4, 5, at 6, maaaring mag-register sa pamamagitan ng mga link sa baba. Ang inyong mga kuwento ay diretso sa national screening.

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

Ang official guidelines ng Gawad Teodora Alonso 2023 ay ibabahagi sa DepEd website. Maaaring makipag-ugnayan sa inyong RO at SDO para sa iba pang impormasyon.

Word Count:
Kindergarten - 0 word (maliban sa pamagat)
Grade 1, 2, 3 - 2,000 words maximum
Grade 4, 5, 6 - 5,000 words maximum

Ang lahat ng kuwento ay kailangang naka-angkla sa isa o higit pang learning competency mula sa DepEd MATATAG K to 10 Curriculum.
