Congratulations to Dean Charlotte M. Chiong, MD, PhD, on her reappointment as Dean of the UP College of Medicine.

Dean Chiong will be serving her third term, continuing to lead the College from 2024 to 2027, following her reappointment by the UP Board of Regents on July 2, 2024.

This was a study conducted by one of our faculty, Dr. Kimberly Mae Ong.

This year’s theme is "Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) in Population Health Research: Ensuring Better Health Research Practices, Interventions, Policies, and Outcomes for All." The celebrations will highlight the research contributions of NIH’s Directors and Faculty to Population Health Research. The second-anniversary event, “Scientists on Scientists,” will feature two roundtable discussions with NIH’s Director and Faculty, focusing on two key JEDI principles: JUSTICE - "Linking Disparities: Pioneering Ways to Health Justice in Population Health Research" and EQUITY - "Upholding Everyone: Promoting Health Equity in Population Health Research.”

The goal of the anniversary is to raise awareness about the importance of population health research and help the public understand how our work at the NIH can benefit the lives of Filipinos.
