JUST IN: Typhoon Carina has already ravaged several parts of the country. With the onslaught of the typhoon, flooding has already taken place in various locations, disrupting the lives of many.

With this, we would like to remind everyone to be knowledgeable of hotline numbers, to always remain calm, and be alert at all times. For those living in flood-prone areas, it is also best to know about the closest evacuation centers in your area. Additionally, make sure to have a bag complete with essentials should the need to evacuate occur.

Case Closed: Scorplings! 💼 🦂

We've cracked the code on leadership, we talked things out, brainstormed ideas, and tackled some challenges. 🚧 Throughout this investigative journey, we may not have unearthed hidden treasures or chased down elusive villains. But we did discover new ways to support 🗣️ student voices, tackled challenges head-on, and ultimately, strived to make our school a more vibrant and inclusive community. ✨

This term may be over, but the spirit of collaboration and dedication continues. We commend each member of the CEIS SHS MNL Student Council 2023-2024 for their unwavering commitment, and express our sincere gratitude to the student body who entrusted us with this case. 🫶

As we turn the page on this chapter, we leave behind not just solved problems, but an open door for the next generation of student leaders. The case may be closed for now, but the pursuit of a better school experience never truly ends. 🤍

On June 12, 1898, Emilio Aguinaldo issued the Declaration of Independence from the window of his home in Cavite (Bancud, 2024). This issue confirmed the country’s declaration of independence. 📜

More than a century later, 126 years to be exact, we pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of our heroes who continuously fought valiantly for our nation's liberty. ⚔️

As we reflect on our rich history, let us remember the values of resilience, courage, and hope that define us as Filipinos. Together, let's continue to build a brighter future for our beloved Philippines. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! 🇵🇭

The qualifications for the Leadership Award are as follows:

1. Must be a bona fide Grade 12 Graduating Centro Escolar University-Senior High School student.
2. Must have no failing grades in any of the learning areas.
3. Must have not committed any offense punishable by suspension or higher sanction according to the Department’s service manual and child protection policies during their academic residency in the school.
4. A class officer or an active member/officer of any recognized school club, team, or organization during their academic residency in the school.

RECAP: Hiraya Sportsfest Awarding 2024 and Entrep Week Business Bazaar Awarding of CEIS - Manila

After the two-week-long Sportsfest, the participants of Hiraya 2024 received recognition for their dedication and hard work. The awarding took place at the LA Auditorium last May 17, 2024, starting with opening remarks from Mr. Johnson Malate, followed by a special number led by the CEIS Singers.

The awarding was not only meant for the Sportsfest; Grade 12 Escolarians also received awards for their Entrep Week Business Bazaar highlighting their hard work and determination. Afterwards, the Indakang Hiraya dancers of Solar Blazers performed their winning piece.

Moreover, various awards were given to students who excelled in a variety of games, starting with minor games including board games such as Scrabble, Chess and Game of the Generals, e-games like Mobile Legends and TEKKEN, traditional games (Laro ng Lahi), and the Indakang Hiraya. Major games were acknowledged, featuring three key sports: badminton (singles and doubles), basketball (men's and women's), and volleyball (men's and women's).

Lastly, the event concluded with closing remarks from the Student Council’s Grade 12 STEM Representative, Sean Marc Bagui.
