Skilled in collaborating with all members of the organization to achieve business objectives and targets. In depth exposure in strategic planning, streamlining and improving processes, project implementation, pre and post project evaluation. Her research interest is on the Importance of TERPCAP FSL (Filipino Sign Language for the Deaf) for Real-World Situations in the Tourism Industry.

He is a public servant for almost 30 years. A tourism specialist who has dedicated most of his is professional life working for the Local Government of Manila. A homegrown tamaraw as he was a graduate of Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science in our esteemed university, finished his Masters Degree in Government Management at the Pamantasan Ng Lungsod ng Maynila and now holding the position of Chief Tourism Operations Officer at the Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila. A recipient of the distinguished 2019 Outstanding City Government Employee Award. Hustles on the side as part time faculty in different universities in the metropolis including of course, FEU at the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management.

Meet our Dynamic HM Faculty Member, Dr. Juvy Tamondong!

Dr. Tamondong has dutifully served CHED Region IV as an RQuAT member for over 15 years, while remaining active in various professional organizations. Presently, Dr. Tamondong holds the position of Secretary for the Philippine Association of Researchers in Tourism and Hospitality in Region IV and serves as the current Auditor of the Council of Restaurant Educators of the Philippines in Region IV. With 26 years of experience in academics, Dr. Tamondong's areas of expertise include hospitality research, service quality, and operations management.

Meet our Awesome TM Faculty Member, Mr. Carlos Fuerte!

Mr. Fuerte spent almost 4 years in operations: booking, reservations, pricing, reading and interpreting fare rules, rebooking, and refunding. He always market the tour proposals he makes to different corporate accounts, process them, and assess their experience during post-travel. Currently, he is in the accounts payable department of an Australian travel agency, where he spearhead the development of the invoice automation to have a seamless payment process with our partners.

His research interest are on The Effects of Internet Technologies in the Tourism Industry and The Contribution of Travel Agency in the Philippines and Its Significance Basis for Sustainable Tourism Development.

Meet our Awesome TM Faculty Member, Mr. Josef Paolo Rocamora!

Mr. Rocamora is a seasoned academician with a passion for law and business research and teaching. With nine years of experience in the academe and a background as a compliance officer, he possesses a wealth of knowledge. He earned his a Master of Business Administration from De La Salle University and a Juris Doctor from Lyceum of the Philippines University.

He teaches Legal Aspects in Tourism and Hospitality. His research interests are on Business and Law.

Meet our Dynamic HM Faculty Member, Mr. Roland Sunga!

Mr. Sunga serves as the Assistant Vice President, Head of Hotel and F&B Management for the 2GO Group. The leading passenger ship in the Philippines honing numerous professionals in the field of Cruise line Industry. Mr. Sunga has been serving as Adjunct Faculty member of the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management since 2022. A multi awarded management professional with solid experience as multi-unit general manager of Johnny Rockets Philippines and a former general manager of Pedersen Group of Companies Boracay. Mr. Sunga has also served as a Manager in Jollibee. His background in supply chain management and executive management provides Theory in Practice in developing future leaders in the Hospitality Industry.

Meet our Awesome TM Faculty Member, Ms. Carolyn Cuevas!

Ms. Carol has been with the Academe for nine years now as a University Lecturer. She has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Ateneo Graduate School of Business, and a Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. Prior to this she was a Banker and a Virtual Assistant with a demonstrated history of working in the internet industry particularly Link Building.

Her research interest is about social sciences.

Mr. Lava has a passion for event management, while he possess expertise in beverage mixing and a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations. With 15 years of experience as an instructor, he have also served as a manager and supervisor within the hospitality industry.

Mr. Buencamino is a part-time lecturer for FEU ITHM for five years. He is currently a businessman and has an experience working at a hotel. His specializations include business handling travel experiences and focuses on group discussions.

His research interest are on Travels, Tourism/HRM Trends and Tourism/HRM business related.

Chef Aurelio has a deep-rooted passion for food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen concepts. With almost two decades of academic experience, she has dedicated her career to conducting research on these subjects.

Meet our Awesome TM Faculty Member, Mr. John Carlo Tulalian!

Mr. Tulalian obtained a Bachelors Degree in Tourism Management from Taguig City University and earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration also at Taguig City University. He has been in the academe for five years and has an experience working in a travel agency and events company.

His research interest are on Heritage, Sustainability, Tourism and Hospitality Businesses and Events.

Meet our Dynamic HM Faculty Member, Mr. Wincel Ong!

Mr. Wincel Ong holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Santo Tomas and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from De La Salle University. Mr. Ong’s professional experiences were mostly in hotel sales and accounts management, events management, and entrepreneurship.

His previous work in social entrepreneurship was recognized by Young Social Entrepreneur’s Programme of the Singapore International Foundation in 2020. It was also recognized as one of the top social enterprises in ASEAN by the ASEAN Foundation in 2021. He also served as a functional mentor for Hult Prize at De La Salle University and the ASEAN Young Leaders Climate Programme.

His research interests include social entrepreneurship, social innovation, technological advancements in tourism and hospitality, and sustainability.

Mr. Ong is currently the Coordinator for FEU Academy, the continuing education arm of the university that provides trainings and certifications for professionals, companies, and FEU alumni.

After being in the travel industry for more than 38 years, Ms. Bernadette "Badette" can say that she live and breathe tourism. Her advocacy now is to share her tourism know how to our tourism and hospitality management students.

Her research interest is on sustainability of traditional travel agencies against online booking platforms.

Meet our Dynamic HM Faculty Member, Dr. Ryan Joseph Calinao!

Dr. RJ Calinao is a distinguished professional in the hospitality industry, holding numerous certifications, including International Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) and a former Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) trainer. He is the first Filipino to earn multiple US certifications in hotel industry analytics, such as CHIA, CAHTA, HIFIA, and CHIA Authorized Instructor by CoStar and STR-SHARE Center. With extensive experience as a Human Resource and Payroll Officer in leading hospitality companies, Dr. Calinao has also made significant contributions to academia, currently serving as a faculty researcher at FEU-Manila and a former part-time professor at various institutions of higher education in the country.

In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Calinao is a passionate researcher with a focus on hospitality, tourism, culinary, and management studies. He has presented and moderated research forums internationally (Switzerland, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, to name a few), a peer reviewer, and has published extensively in prestigious journals, including Scopus-indexed publications. His leadership in research is further highlighted by his involvement in the Asia-Pacific Tourism Association (APTA) and the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (I-CHRIE). Dr. Calinao also holds the distinction of being the first and only Filipino member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) and the Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA), and he currently serves as an international faculty advisor for the STR Market Study Competition in New York and London..

Ms. Lady graduated Cum Laude with a degree of BS Travel Management at the University Of Santo Tomas, España, Manila in the year 2017. Also, she is a Licensed Professional Teacher Major in Social Studies. She pursued her career in the academe on the same year and started her Graduate studies in the year 2018, taking up MA in Public Administration at the University Of Santo Tomas. She served as a Program Head in the BS Hospitality Management at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College of Guimba, Nueva Ecija.

She focuses her research in the field of Pro-poor Tourism development.

Ms. Vanessa finished her Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication Major in PR and Advertising in San Sebastian College Recoletos and earned her Masters Degree in Business Administration Major in Hospitality and Tourism Management also in San Sebastian College Recoletos. She is the current CEO of her own company and has over 12 years of experience in the academic field.

Her research interest are on Dark Tourism, Paranormal Tourism and specializes on Personality and Professional Development.

She is the current Associate Department Chair of ITHM - Tourism Department.

Ms. Rosalyn "Cha" is a Lecturer Full-Time Faculty member with 23 years of experience in the academe. She is a graduate of BS Tourism Management in University of Santo Tomas and earned her Masters Degree in Tourism Management at Philippine Women's University. She worked as a Reservations Agent and a Freelance Travel Agent.

Her research interest is Community-Based Tourism and Development Projects for the Local Community in Tourism Development Areas.

Meet our Dynamic HM Faculty Member, Chef Richard Tabuena!

Sir Tabs as known to many ITHM students, is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and Masters Degree in Business Administration in Lyceum of the Philippines University - Manila. Currently, he is finishing his dissertation for PhD in International Hospitality Management in LPU-Manila as well. His Research interest are on Food Safety and sustainability.

Sir Tabs’ teaching expertise includes Risk Management as Applied to Safety, Security, and Sanitation; Cost Control in Hospitality Management; Catering and Banquet Operations; Kitchen Essentials; Baking and Pastry Arts and Specialty Cuisine. He is also doing advising and mentoring in Research Writing and in Entrepreneurship and Business Planning. Sir Tabs was a former adviser for the ITHM Student Council and HRM Society. In terms of Industry-related credentials, Sir Tabs holds international certifications in Sustainability Education for Culinary Professionals and Hotel Industry Analytics. Local certifications include TESDA National Certificate in Food and Beverage Service Operations and Commercial Cooking. Additionally, Sir Tabs co-authored and published the following books: International Cuisine and Basic Culinary and Baking. Sir Tabs is a certified Food Safety Compliance Officer. He is also recognized Authorized Trainer for FoodSHAP® Basic Food Safety for Food Handlers Level 2, a certification required for all food handlers based from Philippine Republic Act 10611 known as the Food Safety Act 2013.

Meet the Dynamic HM Faculty Member, Mr. Randy Sarmiento!

Mr. Randy Sarmiento is a faculty member at the Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (ITHM), where he teaches a range of courses including Culinary Arts, International Cuisine, Sanitation, Institutional Purchasing, and Hospitality Research. Currently, he is focused on General Education courses such as CASE, Purposive Communication and Scholarly Inquiry. Holds master’s degrees in Tourism and Hospitality Management and Philosophical Research. Is actively pursuing a PhD in Philosophy. His current research delves into Epistemic Consciousness and explores the Mandelbrot Set’s role in addressing philosophical paradoxes.

Ms. Infante boasts 13 years of experience as an industry practitioner in the hospitality and tourism sector. She has also taught tourism professionals for four years. Her track record demonstrates her ability to lead cross-functional teams and achieve tangible results in dynamic environments.

Ms. Han's research interest are on culture, innovation and sustainability.

Chef Ayie is a highly qualified culinary professional with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and a diploma from the Center for Culinary Art. She has served as a Chef Instructor at several esteemed institutions and is currently an HM Professor and Chef Consultant for various products, restaurants, and resorts. Chef Ayie has an impressive portfolio, including being a former chef endorser for several top brands, and currently serves as a demo training chef and administrative consultant. She is also a devoted wife, mother, and advocate for homeschooling.

Atty. Gonzalez is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Tourism at La Consolacion College in Manila. Finished her Masters Degree in Tourism and Hotel Management also in La Consolacion College and conferred by the College of Law of San Sebastian College Recoletos a Juris Doctor title in 2020. A Tourism practitioner since 2011, owning her own travel services business.

She has been handling courses such as Legal Aspects in Tourism and Hospitality, Tour and Travel Management, Quality Service Management in Tourism and Hospitality, etc..

Mr. Dan is a professional educator with over ten years of experience in the field. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in HRM and a Masters of Science in Hospitality Management majoring in Tourism Management from Far Eastern University and Centro Escolar University, respectively. Mr. Cabangon is a licensed professional teacher and has taught a range of courses related to tourism and hospitality.

His areas of expertise encompass community-based tourism and sustainable tourism.

Meet our Dynamic HM Faculty Member, Dr. Driselle Pajuyo!

Dr. Aisel is the Director of International Relations Office at Far Eastern University. She has previously served as an academic manager, associate dean, and laboratory coordinator at the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management. A registered nutritionist-dietitian, Aisel has a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from University of Santo Tomas, a Diploma of Culinary Arts from Center for Culinary Arts, Manila, and a Ph.D. in International Hospitality Management from Lyceum of the Philippines University. She has presented at various local and international research conferences and is certified as a Servsafe Food Handler with National Certificate III Commercial Cooking and Guest Service Professional. She has also worked as an Executive Chef and Head Chef in various settings, including a 400-bed hospital and casual dining restaurants.

Ms. Carol spent 30 years in the Academe under Tourism and Hospitality Program and has an industry experience on travel and tour operations and management.

She has a National Certificate in Events Management, completed and passed the Amadeus Basic Course for Tourism, a Certified Gold Service Professional (CGSP) - AHLEI, Certified Event Planner - APIEM, Certified Event Manager - APIEM, Certified Event Educator (CEE) - APIEM and completed the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) training.

Ms. Carol has also been invited to be a guest speaker (Local and International Internship, Travel and Tour Operations, Events Management etc.) topics in different universities and colleges.

She is the current Associate Department Chair of ITHM - Internship Office.
