"Being prideful can lead us to downfall."
2 Chronicles 26:1-19 tells us the story of Uzziah who became the king at the age of sixteen. While he reigned God helped him against his enemies. Uzziah did what is right in the eyes of the Lord. Not until he became powerful. Along with his power, pride comes together. He became unfaithful which led him to his downfallβleprosy until the day he died.
The scriptures become a reminder to each one of us to remain humble in the sight of the Lord. For whatever God has given to each of us, God can also take it away in a snap. Be humble, do not be proud. For "God raises the humble, but crushes the wicked to the ground." ("Psalms 147:6)
The ππ€πͺπ©π πΌπ‘ππ«π ππ©πͺπππ£π© ππ€π«ππ’ππ£π© (YASM) kicked off the academic year 2024-2025 with a vibrant and purposeful General Assembly held at the Graduate School Building. This gathering marked the first fellowship of the year, where students came together to connect, worship, and strengthen their community. The assembly also served as an opportunity to introduce the officers and advisers, who will guide the movement through the year ahead. The presentation of the calendar of activities provided a clear roadmap, highlighting the exciting events and initiatives planned to foster spiritual growth and community service.
As the academic year unfolds, the YASM encourages all its members to continue serving God wholeheartedly, even amidst the demands of their studies. This assembly is a powerful reminder that faith and academics can go hand in hand, empowering students to excel not only in their educational pursuits but also in their spiritual journeys. By staying rooted in their commitment to God, the members of YASM are equipped to face the challenges of the academic year with resilience and purpose, making a meaningful impact both on campus and beyond.

"Discontentment might hinder us to see the unseen Gods` overflowing provision.''
Numbers 11 talks about the discontentment of the Israelites. Complaining about the food that they eat and get tired of eating manna.
Sometimes we fail to recognize God`s care and provision in our lives. We are so focus on the things that we don`t have leading to discontentment and complaint. However, let us be reminded that whatever struggles you are facing and whatever you have, God never fail us to provide everything we need. Learn to appreciate everything that you have and be grateful for everything for you to be able to see the unseen God`s overflowing provision!
Reminding and inviting each one of you again for our YASM-CMU Fellowship Tomorrow, Thursday, 5:30-7:30pm. See you there! π«Ά
Blessed Sunday Everyone πβ¨
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of Godβs grace in its various forms." - 1 Peter 4:10
"What you do secretly will manifest publicly." β¨
One of the takeaways that we can have in Matthew 6 is about the teaching of Jesus Christ on which it emphasizes the sincerity of prayer and fasting. Pray privately rather than for show and if we are going to fast make sure that you are presentable enough for others not to know that you are fasting. As a believer, we are encouraged to live a life of faithfulness and righteousness before God. Praying publicly is good, there's nothing wrong with it. However, let us be reminded of what matters the most is our personal relationship with God, privately. You can pray, sing songs, dance, and preach publicly but then the question is "what is the status of your heart in the sight of the Lord? Do you still have your quiet time with God?"
Nothing can be hidden in the sight of God. Your private life matters! And what you do secretly, God will reward you publicly! π€
"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.β (Matthew 18:20)
Audience of one and that is Jesus! Exalting His name above anything else and believing that whoever gathers in His name either one person, two, or three, His presence is there!
Reminding and inviting each one of you again for our YASM-CMU Fellowship Tomorrow, Thursday, 5:30-7:30pm. We know busy na ang all but still we're encouraging those who can and willing to join this fellowship. See youu there at CBM Bench! π€
We speak academic excellence all throughout this midterm examination!
Another midterm week has kicked off! May we seek God's wisdom above anything else. Do your best and God will do the rest. And in everything you do, do it for the Lord. π
Let's spread love and encouragement wherever we go. Together, we can make a difference.
Sunday Dose π€
Blessed Sunday Everyone.
"Prove to God that you deserve something more than what you currently have."
Matthew 25:14-30 tells us about the parable of talents on which a man entrusted his three servants to his property. The first one got one talent, the second man got five talents, and the other two. He who has received five talents made five talents more and the two got two more. However, the one who received one talent only hid his master's money.
The talents that the master gave to his servant might be the blessings and talents that we possess that come from the Lord. We must make use of the blessings that God gave us for something greater. May it be the talents that you possess or the money that you have. For if we can be trusted by little things then surely God will reward us for bigger and greater things! π
"Kung unsa imohang sitwasyon karon, pwede pa na mausab."
Ecclesiastes 3:11
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart, yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."
"For I know the plans I have for you,β declares the Lord, βplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
Happy Birthday, Tonette! YASM - CMU is blessed to have you. We pray nothing but the best for you. Keep grinding on your goals and always have faith in God for every season of your life. β¨
βI assure you that unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3)
What must we have to be called Children of God?
We must:
1. Have Faith like a child.
2. Love like a child.
3. Obey like a child.
4. Have humility like a child.
5. Trust like a child.
If you want to grow spiritually you need to be child-like. A child of God who embraces the truth that we are nothing without Him in our lives. πβ¨
"Do for others just what you want them to do for you." (Luke 6:31)
If you want to be treated with kindness then be kind to others. β¨ However, we cannot give what we don't have and what is inside our hearts will eventually come out in our words and deeds.
For,
"A good person brings good out of the treasure of good things in his heart; a bad person brings bad out of his treasure of bad things. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." (Luke 6:44)
Thus,
"In conclusion, my brothers and sisters, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honourable.
[9]Put into practice what you learnt and received from me, both from my words and from my actions. And the God who gives us peace will be with you." (Philippians 4:8-9)
