Nadiskubre ng BOC-Clark ang P10.4M Ketamine sa Pasig City

Ang BOC, sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, ay nananatiling matatag sa pagsunod sa mga direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. na palakasin ang kanilang mga hakbang laban sa iligal na droga upang maiwasan ang pagpasok ng mga iligal na droga at iba pang mapanganib na sangkap sa bansa.

Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga – Nadiskubre ng Bureau of Customs - Port of Clark ang P10.36 milyong halaga ng Ketamine na nakatago sa tatlong acupoint massage twisters noong Enero 30 at inaresto ang taong humihiling nito sa Pasig City.

Nadiskubre ang tatlong kahon ng acupoint massage twisters na may walong transparent plastic pouch na naglalaman ng puting powdered substance na may kabuuang timbang na 2,072 gramo. Natuklasan ng BOC ang mga ilegal na droga sa isang shipment na naglalaman ng “fitness expander, massage twister, trimmer, push-up bar, yoga block” noong Enero 30 mula sa Putrajaya, Malaysia.

Sinabi ni OIC District Collector John Simon na nananatiling pare-pareho ang daungan sa kampanya nito laban sa ilegal na droga. Pinuri niya ang mga tauhan ng pantalan sa pagpapatupad ng mahigpit na mga hakbang at pagpapalakas ng intelligence at profiling capabilities para maiwasan ang smuggling ng ilegal na droga.

BOC-Port of Zamboanga intercepts P9.49M worth of imported red onions

The Bureau of Customs (BOC)- Port of Zamboanga has intercepted, on two separate occasions, P9.49 million worth of imported fresh red onions loaded inside a watercraft in Zamboanga City.

The vessel contained 1,624 mesh bags of imported fresh red onions, amounting to P2,598,400. The seized onions have no Sanitary and Phytosanitary Import Clearance from the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Bureau of Plant Industry, thus violating Section 1401 of Republic Act (R.A.) 10863, otherwise known as the "Customs Modernization and Tariff Act of 2016", in relation to R.A. 10845 or the "Anti-Agricultural Smuggling Act of 2016. The first operation occurred along Barangay Labuan's coastal areas involving a jungkong-type motorized wooden watercraft marked as TIMZZAN.

The operations followed the directive of Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz to ensure effective coordination and collaboration with other border enforcement agencies.

The BOC-Port of Zamboanga will continue to boost its efforts against smuggling in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s standing order to intensify border control measures to curb smuggling.

The PDEA is conducting a custodial investigation of the arrested claimant for an eventual inquest proceeding for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Anti-Illegal Drugs Act, and RA 10863, also known as the Customs Modernization Act (CMTA).

PDEA laboratory testing confirmed that the substance is indeed shabu. A joint task force intercepted a shabu shipment (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with an estimated street value of P1.36 million at the DHL Warehouse.

Upon physical examination by Customs personnel, the parcel contained 200 grams of a concealed white crystalline substance. The Port will also intensify vigilance and dedication to prevent smuggling attempts in the borders aligned with the directives of Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz and the marching orders of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.

BOC-Clark, NAIA foil smuggling of P13.8M Shabu

Representative samples were then taken and turned over to PDEA for chemical laboratory analysis, which confirmed the presence of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride or commonly known as shabu, a dangerous drug under the Republic Act (R.A.) A physical examination resulted in the discovery of four pieces of a 3-liter stainless sport jug containing white crystalline substances wrapped in plastic and aluminum foil.

The BOC, under the leadership of Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, remains steadfast in its commitment to the directives of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr to be vigilant in its anti-illegal drug measures to prevent the entry of narcotics and other dangerous substances into the country. The illegal drugs were discovered in a shipment said to contain “microserver double stairless ceramic,” which arrived on January 2 from Bangkok, Thailand.

The Bureau of Customs- Port of Clark and NAIA have foiled an attempt to smuggle into the country P13.8 million worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) concealed inside sports jugs. The shipment was marked for physical examination as it showed a suspicious image during x-ray scanning.

Ang mga kinatawan mula sa BOC Risk Management Office (RMO) ay sinanay upang bumuo ng isang moderno, pinagsama-samang pamamahala sa peligro at mga sistema ng pagsunod sa mga manggagawa na nagbibigay-daan para sa pagbabago at responsableng pagkuha ng panganib sa hangganan.

Sinabi ni Dennis Pantastico, ang pambansang dalubhasa para sa AEO at IRM, na ang epektibong pamamahala sa peligro ay nangangailangan ng mga etikal na kasanayan sa pamamahala, kabilang ang pagsubaybay at kumpletong mga estratehiya sa pag-uulat sa loob ng iisang imbakan ng prinsipyo ng katotohanan.

Ang proyekto ay katuwang din ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) upang sumunod sa mga umiiral na internasyonal na pangako sa pagpapadali ng kalakalan at nagbabagong mga kinakailangan, tulad ng Integrated Risk Management, upang mapabuti ang kahusayan ng kontrol sa hangganan at pagsunod sa pagpapadali sa internasyonal na kalakalan.

Kabilang sa ilang mahahalagang takeaways mula sa workshop ang paggamit ng positibong reinforcement sa pagkilala sa mga sumusunod, mga rekomendasyon sa patakaran para sa pagsasama ng Awtorisadong Economic Operator (AEO) at e-Commerce Program ng BOC sa mga proseso ng pamamahala sa peligro, at ang pagsasakatuparan ng mga makabuluhang benepisyo sa pamamagitan ng data ng inter-agency pagbabahagi.

Nagbigay ito sa mga kalahok ng isang malalim na talakayan sa mga mahahalagang lugar ng peligro at natukoy ang mga kakulangan at teknikal na hamon sa pagbuo ng isang pabago-bago at epektibong Integrated Risk Management System (IRM) Blueprint.

Ang iba pang kinatawan ay nagmula sa DTI Strategic Trade Management Office (STMO), DTI Bureau of International Trade Relations (BITR), Optical Media Board (OMB), Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), at Bureau of Animal Industriya (BAI). Ipinatawag ng Bureau of Customs (BOC), sa pamamagitan ng Project Team para sa Strengthened Trade Facilitation Capacity Building, ang Validation and Workshop sa panukalang Integrated Risk Management System (IRM) Blueprint noong Disyembre 9 sa Pasay City.

Nakahanay sa 8-point Socioeconomic Agenda ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., pinangunahan ni Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz ang BOC na ituloy ang mga hakbangin sa pagpapadali sa kalakalan na naglalayong pag-unlad ng ekonomiya at pagbabago.

Tinitiyak ng mga inisyatiba na ang mga opisyal ng Customs, gayundin ang mga stakeholder mula sa pampubliko at pribadong sektor, ay may access sa kinakailangang tulong at impormasyon sa mga bagong proseso at tuntunin ng negosyo.

Port Collector Simon said vigilance among personnel and strong coordination with PDEA significantly improved the port’s drug seizures and apprehensions.

Customs employees conducted an x-ray inspection and PDEA K-9 sweeping, to confirm the possible presence of illegal drugs.

Customs personnel discovered the illegal drugs in a shipment declared to contain shoes that arrived on November 17 from Kempton Park, South Africa.

Found were transparent packs of white crystalline substances wrapped in black duct tape and concealed inside the lining of five handbags.

Samples were taken and turned over to PDEA for chemical laboratory analysis which confirmed the substance as shabu, a dangerous drug under the Republic Act (R.A.)

Simon said that port employees continue to intensify the implementation of strict border protection measures.

Collector John Simon issued a Warrant of Seizure and Detention against the shipment for violation of Sections 118 (g), 119 (d), and 1113 par.

Year Six

Rodrigo Roa Duterte didn’t follow the rules set for a typical President. He didn’t look the part, and he certainly didn’t talk the part. He just worked. That’s it. At dun siya minahal ng taong bayan. Walang bahid ng pagkukunwari. Walang script at walang nagdidikta. Totoong Tao. Probinsyano. Barumbadong may Puso.

And as he finishes his final year, I often ask myself if we’d ever see another one like him. Who knows? Maybe he’s the first of many. Six years certainly felt like six days. Time flies. Funny how I could still vividly remember his very first SONA.

The oldest, most authentic, and the first-ever Mindanaoan President will soon take his final bow. I’m not ashamed to say that for the first time, I’ll shed tears of gratitude for a man who never even knew me, but whose heart is known to Filipinos the whole world over.

Year Six, but it still feels like the First. If I had it my way, I wouldn’t ever want it to end. What an amazing journey it has been, old man. We’re almost there.

Wala nang hahalik sa bandila, o sa lupang sinilangan. Ni minsan ‘di ko ito namalas kahit kanino man. Isang pinuno na hindi nahihiyang marumihan, magusot ang damit kung kinakailangan.

Wala nang “magba-bow” sa harap ng mga tao. Isang simbolo ng paggalang na likas sa iyo. Marumi ang bibig, ngunit busilak ang puso.

Wala nang handang mamatay para sa Bayan. Hindi alintana kanyang kaligtasan. Susugod sa impyerno kung kinakailangan. Para sa Pilipinas, sa Pilipino, at sa at nasasakupan.

Limang Buwan na lang at bababa ka na. Magpapaalam at magpapahinga. Sa lahat ng sinabi ko, ito ang pinakatotoo: Sa puso’t isip namin, WALA nang papalit sa’yo Rodrigo.

Sa darating na eleksyon, wag natin kalimutan si PRRD. Wag natin kalimutan na pumili ng susunod na Presidente na kayang gawin lahat ang mga nagawa ni PRRD, kung di kayang lampasan, kahit yung tapatan o pantayan manlang sana. Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said the down payment for the Philippine Air Force (PAF)'s Russian-sourced heavy-lift helicopter acquisition program will be released soon.

The PAF earlier announced that it is looking at the possibility of acquiring heavy-lift helicopters as part of efforts to beef up its helicopter fleet.

A heavy-lift helicopter is a type of rotary aircraft capable of lifting large numbers of personnel or cargo. The Mil Mi-17 is a Soviet-designed Russian military helicopter family in production at two factories in Kazan and Ulan-Ude.

The helicopter is mostly used as medium twin-turbine transport helicopter, as well as an armed gunship version. It has a maximum speed of 280 km/h (170 mph, 150 knots) and a range of 800 km. The Mi-17 has a crew of two pilots and one engineer and is capable of transporting 24 soldiers or 12 stretchers internally.
