The release of report cards will push through tomorrow, July 26, as scheduled. As stated in the letter on July 15, if for any reason, the card cannot be received tomorrow, it may be claimed at the Records Office on weekdays starting Wednesday, July 31, from 7:00 AM-5:00PM.

Also, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Principal’s List will not be released yet. Instead, it will be posted and certificates will be distributed during the registration.

Dr. Lara also taught at the UPIS (starting in 1963 at the UP Elementary School) before moving to the UP College of Education. She also served as Head of the UPIS Office of Research, Development, and Publication. Rest in peace, Dr. Lara.

The College of Education mourns the passing of Dr. Anunciacion V. Lara (March 25, 1938 - May 12, 2024). She is a former Associate Professor of Educational Research. We remember her to be a well-loved professor, mentor, and colleague.

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗮'𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗶: 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗨𝗣 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁!

On February 29 to March 1, 2024, several teachers and staff of basic education institutions in the different Constituent Units (CUs) of the University of the Philippines (UP) System gathered in Alcantara Hall of the Student Union Building in UP Diliman, Quezon City to tackle the issues concerning the situation of the teachers in basic education in UP. It provided a space for discussions on academic issues, economic situation and mental well-being of the teachers, and reviewed UP policies concerning these. The summit likewise drew up recommendations to address the grave problems and issues of basic education in UP, especially concerning the welfare and well-being of teachers.
