Sobrang nabusy ako simula nong bumalik ako sa HK nong 2020... sa paghahanap ng work, sa pagpapagana ng business at sa kung ano-ano pang mga bagay-bagay. Hindi man lang nabigyan ng panahon itong book na to na maipasa ang message sa marami.

Nagplan pa kami na gawing audiobook para sa mga walang time magbasa pero gaya rin ng ilang plans hindi na natuloy sa sobrang kabusyhan.

Nagpa-ala-ala sa akin na kung hindi pa ako umalis sa Finance, nakaranas ng low moment, itong book na to ay pangarap pa rin.

Marami nang nangyari since 2020.
Naging full time employee ako.
Ini-embrace na ang Hong Kong ay home.
Nagrenew ng coaching credential.
Nagturo ng chess. Huminto. Nagturo ulit.
Nagbigay ng ilang speeches.
Nagbigay ng ilang workshops.
At marami pang iba.

Hindi man ako makapagsulat agad ng Part 2 ng Pawn to Queen Life's Chess and Quest, hinding-hindi magbabago ang paniniwala ko na ang bawat isa sa atin ay may gift. Darating ang araw na ma-discover natin yun at ang gift na yun ay magiging regalo sa atin at sa ating kapuwa. bow.

One day, madadala ka rin sa Hong Kong under the umbrella of 4S International para sa mga underprivileged students dito.

Bata pa lang ako pangarap ko ng maglingkod sa mga kababayan.

Naalala ko pa yung dream ko na maging Accounting teacher tapos maging barangay official.

Pero nung nakita ko kung pano lumobo ang cost ng isang project dahil sa "SOP" at percentages na napupunta sa mga namumuno, alam kong nawala na ang pangarap na yun.

Kaya naging focused akong mag-excel sa career para magkaroon ng maraming pera at ako ang gagawa ng paraan tumulong sa mga nangangailangan.

Eventually, nabuo ang 4S.

Simula nun, ayaw na ayaw kong ipapagamit ang 4S sa kahit anong funded projects dahil may ilan na hindi mabuti ang intention. Mabuti pa na wala kaming pera kesa mahalo kami sa corruption. Magiging beneficiary ka tapos ung napunta sa NGO, katiting; mas malaki pa nakuha ng middleman.

Syempre nawalan ako ng work at doon ko narealized na hindi sustainable na ako lang.

Isang coaching na nabanggit ko sa coach ko ung dream kong tumulong sa mga underprivileged students worldwide. Natatawa sya at hindi makapaniwala na sa 'kin mostly nanggagaling ung funds ng 4S Pinas.

Tama naman sya na hindi sustainable ung ganong set-up. Pano kung nawala na ako? San kukuha ang 4S ng funds.

Nagsala-salabat na isang araw bigla ko na lang pinangarap na tumulong sa mahihirap na bata at kabataan sa HK.

Dahil nung nagtutor ako ng chess, puro mayayaman mga estudyante ko. Pano naman ung mahihirap? Kaya yung mga mayayaman, lalong yumayaman at yung mga mahihirap, hindi nakaka-angat.

1 kahig 1 tuka ako nung mga panahon na un. Kulang palagi pambayad sa rent at tipid na tipid pero alam kong temporary lang un.

Nabulong ko lang, "Kapag umokay ako, magtatayo ako ng foundation sa HK."

The moment na nagkaroon ako ng stable job, nag-set up ako ng company ---- 4S International.

Alam kong may mga mindsets akong dapat baguhin about all these.

Pero alam ko rin na may mga taong gustong tumulong at hindi lang nila alam kung paano - hindi nila kailangang makita kung registered entity ka o kung ung itutulong ba nila sau ay tax deductible3

Iyong mga tao na yun ang hahanapin ko/namin.

At itataga ko sa wall ni FB na ang tulong ay tao sa tao.
Malamang dadaan lang yan sa account ko/namin pansamantala pero siguradong makakarating sa dapat puntahan.

Kaya naman, sa pagbuhay ko ng 4S International, bubuhayin ko rin ang business kong The Treasures Finder. Para siguradong may income ako at hindi na kailangang i-finance ni 4S ang pamasahe para mag-meet ng potential sponsors.

One day!

Sa ngayon, isalba muna natin ang September.

I'm currently learning chess again! Oh yeah, it doesn't mean you are good; you will continue to be good. A skill needs constant practice to remain skillful.

Chess was the trigger of my downfall in 2019.
When I got an invite to revive Chess, I immediately responded YES.

Why?

Because everything happens for a reason!
The context this year is a lot different in 2019.

So, I need to drop other things again, like public speaking, coaching, and supporting different organizations (Toastmasters, etc.).

You know what? I didn't drop coaching fully this time.

Why?

Because others need my support through coaching. In fact, I'm training my fellow leaders some coaching skills.

And the connection?

Chess and Coaching are about being focused and present (thanks to my peer coach, who made me realize this!)

If I learn to be focused and present, I'm practicing chess and coaching!

And how chess and coaching are connected to leadership? There is... I will share it later.

Everything happens for a reason. I don't know why, but chess is likely back for Leadership and Coaching. Let's see!

I revived Chess in Bermuda in 2008 because I wanted to practice English. Before that, I had last played in a chess tournament in 1999.

After I left the island in September 2009, I never played chess again until the Bermuda Chess Association contacted me in February 2018. At the same time, I was doing a Chess Pawn speech. They invited me to join the Women's Team.

Let's add more color—there are many stages before a player can qualify for the Olympiad in other countries like the Philippines.

Why would Bermuda choose me? A player who hasn't played for years.

Because Bermuda Chess has a team of five members, there were only two women members (including me) from 2006 to 2008. They developed a few more women players for the Olympiad in 2018.

In short, the Association will accept any woman member - whether she can play or not. :)

I left my home in 2007 just to help my widowed mom pay her loans quickly. My original plan was to work abroad for 2 years, but I'm still working overseas. :)

The initial reason was 4S Scholarship Foundation - Share a Secret Spread Success, Inc.

Because of 4S, I discovered my potential.

Indeed, if we can't achieve more for ourselves, achieve more for others.

I promised myself I'd return to coaching, which I did.

Last night was a peer coaching session.

Before the session, I was busy with so many things. I just came back to HK; things are all over the place, a few meetings at work, other community orgs' tasks and so many many many things.

The coach picked up my energy level and, as an effective coach, asked me this powerful question: "What one good thing happened today?"

It didn't remove the fact that I was busy, but it allowed me to think positively for a moment.

Like today, the baggage from the past + today's craziness make it another roller-coaster day... I want to end it with a question...

What one good thing happened today?

Saturday - I was outside finalizing a piece.
Tonight - from 30% to 80%.

My friends, it must be a super crazy day for you too, but...

Ano raw ang mga desires ko kaya sulat ako nang sulat.

Tapos may isang tanong....

Anong sinasabi Nya? Kaya naman sakto lang tayo. :) Life is short para magpaliban pa ng mga dapat gawin at dahil life is short I'll make sure na ako ay fully recharged at nag-stop kung kailangan.

Dahil jan,, stop muna, este start pala. Bahala ka na Batman!

Muling nagbabalik ang Proud Akong Lumaki Sa Capri (PALSC) upang bigyang karangalan ang mga masisipag na estudyanteng nagtapos sa kabila ng pandemya.
