CLC-Everpine, one of CLCP’s community in the North was visited by the CLCP Secretariat represented by Anj Petros and Mark Leosala right after facilitating the retreat of Ateneo Pathways held in Mirador Jesuit Villa last August 14-16. It was a time of renewing and strengthening the community ties between the National Community and CLC-Everpine. Members shared their consolations and desolations as they continue to embrace our CLC way of Life. They are looking forward in inviting the former CLC youth in becoming members of CLCP and for more opportunities of having face to face retreats and formation sessions.
Hello, CLC Family!
We’re delighted to share that Anj Petros from the National Secretariat attended a 3-day workshop on Accompanying Young People in Cebu last July 8-10 representing the CLC Youth Development Team (YDT)✨
But that’s not all! While in Cebu, Anj also made time to visit our amazing CLC community. It was an inspiring time reconnecting with our vibrant CLC members, enjoying a heartwarming kamustahan over sumptuous meal together with our National EA, Fr. Mike Pineda,SJ. The spirit of support and encouragement during the visit was truly uplifting!
CLCP celebrated the Feast of St Ignatius with the Jesuits
Members of the Christian Life Community in the Philippines (CLCP) mostly coming from CLC NCR joined the Provincial Mass of the Philippine Province of the Society of Jesus held last July 28 at the Ateneo de Manila High School Covered Court. There were spaces reserved for booths of Jesuit apostolates and collaborators-- including CLC, intended for awareness campaign and to sell their merchandise. CLC’s booth became an instant crowd drawer due to our freebies and giveaways. The event has reconnected and kindled friendships among CLC and Jesuits including friends of CLC members.
Truly the Ignatian spirit and the legacy of Ignatius continue to kindle the fire in our hearts inspiring us to nourish our friendships towards collaborating in one shared mission.
NCR CLC celebrated the Feast of St Ignatius last July 28 by reflecting “The Audacious Call to live out Ignatian Spirituality in Building Paths for Hope”. Then joined the Philippine Jesuit province Mass
CLC EVERPINE (Baguio) celebrated St. Ignatius Day on July 30 with the 12:15 PM Mass at the Our Lady of Atonement Church (Baguio City Cathedral), then they had buffet merienda. They culminated the celebration by visiting FELY LOPEZ-BARROGA, one of the original CLC Everpine members. She has breast cancer and Alzheimer's and some complications. She recognized Lil and Mely and was so happy; with tears in her eyes and was talking just with the sounds of "ahh ...ahh." It was a fulfilling celebration for all of us.

Feast of St. Ignatius Celebration | July 31, 2024
We were honored to welcome Sr. Natalie Chamorro, RSCJ from Chile to the Christian Life Community (CLC) office in the Philippines. It was a wonderful visit filled with meaningful discussions about our shared mission and the CLC way of life. Sr. Natalie discovered her vocation through her involvement and active membership in the CLC during her youth and shared her inspiring journey of discerning her religious vocation with us. It was a truly enriching experience for everyone involved.

CLCP National Office meets CLC Bicol Region. Mark Leosala and Anj Petros from CLCP Formation Institute and CLCP Secretariat respectively, went to Naga to facilitate a 2-day prayer workshop with the officers of YCLCSi of Ateneo de Naga University-Senior High School Department.
The 2-day prayer workshop is an opportunity for them to prepare themselves in accompanying the new members of YCLSi through prayer and spiritual conversation. Anj and Mark introduced them to the basics of Ignatian prayers and spiritual conversation.
Immediately after the recollection, Anj and Mark met the adult and youth CLC members comprising different communities in Badang ni Ignacio, CLCP formation center and farm. They had a grace-filled conversation about how they were responding to God's call through CLC.
In the end, CLCP's presence in the midst of the poor in the Bicol Region cannot be downplayed. It has been a witness of God's love and presence to the poor and to the Church, in particular by providing a sacred space in Badang Ni Ignacio where they can encounter the Lord in silence, nature, and through spiritual conversations and retreats through Deacon Stan
We thank Tito Abang and Family, Naga Pro Community, including Mas Alysa Betito for taking care of Anj and Mark during their stay in Naga.
