JUST IN | Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (PAHP) Program in Region III Gets Big Boost
With the conclusion of the Kumustahan Session, Renewal of Memorandum of Understanding and Awarding Ceremony held in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, DAR Central Luzon Management led by Regional Director James Arsenio Ponce, CESO III, and Assistant Regional Director Atty. Odgie Cayabyab is confident that program goals will be met for CY 2024.
"The PAHP program is designed to tap institutional markets like BJMP, DOH and LGUs for the agricultural produce of our ARBOs," Director Ponce emphasized.
The Central Luzon Director also reiterated the significance of the established partnership in ensuring additional income for ARBOs involved in the program.
"Let it be underscored that all present initiatives of DAR Region III, including PAHP, are alligned with the priorities of Secretary Conrado Estrella III," the Director added.

HAPPENING NOW | 1st Semester Formative Assessment and Planning Conference of DAR Region III
At the start of this conference being held at Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, DAR Central Luzon Regional Director James Arsenio Ponce, CESO III, laid down the fundamentals of the gathering by saying "CY 2023 has been a banner year for DAR Region III for bringing home a total of 34 awards across all major programs during the National Assessment conducted at Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga last March".
He added, "For 2024, we aim to duplicate or even surpass last year's performance".
Director Ponce likewise emphasized that all initiatives and innovation which Region III has been continuously undertaking are always in keeping with the agrarian reform priorities of DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III.

JUST IN | DAR Central Luzon Accorded Highest Distinction Accross PAHP Markets for CY 2023
In a fitting ceremony organized by the Office of the Undersecretary of DAR’s Support Services Office last night, DAR Central Luzon’s Regional Office under the leadership of James Arsenio Ponce, CESO III, was recognized as having garnered the highest sales among regional offices accross PAHP markets for CY 2023.
The Department initiated the Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (PAHP) at the height of the pandemic to mitigate the harsh effects of covid-19 on the socio-economic activities and income of agrarian reform beneficiaries by tapping institutional markets like the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), the Department of Health and the Local Government Units (LGUs) for the agricultural products of ARBs.
During the awarding ceremony, the provinces of Pampanga and Tarlac were also recognized for the following astounding performances:

MOMENTS AGO | PROGRAM SUSTAINABILITY PLANNING WORKSHOP ON PARTNERSHIP AGAINST HUNGER AND POVERTY (PAHP)
Graced by DAR Undersecretary for Support Services Rowena Nina Taduran, Region III delegates are taking this opportunity to devise plans and strategies aimed at a more effective delivery of interventions for the remaining six (6) months of PAHP programs and projects.
The activity, which includes an awarding ceremony, where the provinces of Pampanga and Tarlac will
receive distinct recognition, will last until June 28.

In Case You Missed It | DAR Central Luzon Vows To Sustain Initiatives In Improving Quality of Life of ARBs
During the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas featuring the Department of Agrarian Reform yesterday, DAR Central Luzon Regional Director James Arsenio Ponce, CESO III, echoed the firm resolve of his leadership to sustain initiatives in all fronts to help agrarian reform beneficiaries attain a better quality of life.
“The milestones we achieved last year where DAR Region III received thirty-four (34) awards accross all sectors are a clear indication that your region is on the right track in improving the lives of our ARBs. And we are determined to sustain this trajectory for the beneficiaries of CARP”, Director Ponce said.
Meanwhile, Atty. Odgie Cayabyab, Assistant Regional Director, expressed optimism of a similar or even a better feat as he elaborated on the other accomplishments of the region for the past five (5) months of 2024.
“With the sustained support and cooperation of our field offices and sector heads of the Regional Office, I am confident that we can still do better”, Atty. Cayabyab remarked.
Both officials vowed to institute greater innovation and dynamism to improve the quality of life of the ARBs.

Under the guidance and supervision of DAR Central Luzon Regional Director James Arsenio Ponce, CESO III, and Provincial Head PARPO II Eden Ponio, agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in the province received their much-awaited land titles.
During the activity, ARB organizations also received significant amount of support services to boost their farm activities and income.
DAR Undersecretary for Field Operations Atty. Kazel Celeste personally handed out land titles in support of this initiative.
The activity alligns with the celebration of CARP’s 36th year Anniversary and DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella’s topmost agenda of fast tracking the land distribution process and expanding the provision of support services to ARBs.

STILL HAPPENING | Facilitator’s Orientation-Workshop for Luzon Group Being Held in Angeles City, Pampanga
Spearheaded by the DAR Central Luzon, the 4-day activity which kicked off last May 14 is intended for the agriculture, forestry and fisheries enterprise cluster of the National Convergence Initiative for Sustainable Rural Development or NCI-SRD.
The NCI-SRD is a collaborative initiative participated by DAR, DA, DENR and DILG.

The 3-day activity being held in Angeles City, Pampanga aims to streamline procedures and processes using the prescribed forms to ensure integrity and reliability of data forwarded to the Regional and Central Project Management Offices of Project SPLIT.

Abad Santos was the 5th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. He also briefly served as Acting President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines.

DAR CENTRAL LUZON SURPASSES 100% MARK IN LAND ACQUISITION AND DISTRIBUTION FOR 2023
As a prelude to the hosting of DAR Central Luzon for the National Formative Assessment later next month, Regional Director James Arsenio Ponce, CESO III, announced today that the region surpassed its commiment last year for the land acquisition and distribution component of CARP.
Director Ponce made the announcement as the DAR national leadership gathers its regional heads for a 3-day assessment on land tenure security program of the Department in Pangasinan province since yesterday.
The Central Luzon Director expresses his profound gratitude to the men and women of the region who worked doubly hard to achieve this distinct feat.
