12 June 2024 | Tatak Bayani - Sa pagsisimula ng taunang Bayani Challenge ng Gawad Kalinga, nakiisa ang volunteers at teachers mula sa GK Taguig Sibol (Katuwang ang mga barangay volunteers) sa Paraisong Pambata kung saan nagkaroon ng Story Telling, Reading Tutorials, Fun Games and Activities at Feeding. Nakibahagi din ang ating GK Taguig volunteers and Sibol teachers sa isinagawang Zero illiteracy sa wellness center kung saan nagkaroon ng pagbabahaginan ng “best practices” at learnings sa hinggil sa Sibol at Aral Programs.

June 15, 2024 | Tatak Bayani - Nakiisa ang kapitbahayan volunteers mula sa iba’t ibang GK villages ng Taguig sa taunang Bayani Challenge ng Gawad Kalinga. Tumulong at nakiisa ang mga nanay, tatay at mga Kabataan sa House Build activity at Community Food Farming.

Maraming salamat sa mga nagvolunteer mula sa Napindan GK Village, GK Fuji Xerox, GK FilAm, GK ISM Village, GK Zonta Village, GK Delta Lambda, GK Catholic Women’s Club, at GK Laura Drive. Salamat din sa mga Barangay LGU (Napindan, Pinagsama at Barangay Bagumbayan,) na tumulong sa ating mga volunteers upang sila’y makabahagi sa gawaing ito.

9 June 2024 - GK Community Youth engagement by the Police - 8th MFC RMFB NCRPO leading the 1st session of the Arnis Training for the youth and kapitbahayan of GK.

Thank you to our community partners in the 1st Rapid Deployment Company, Rmfb-Ncrpo for reaching out to our youth through skills training and know how on self-defense.

Kusina ng Kalinga (Care Kitchen) is Gawad Kalinga’s strategic response response to address chronic hunger and malnutrition among Filipino children ages 0 to 12 years old and pregnant and lactating mothers. KnK is a replicable program where thousands of nutritious vegetable-based meals are prepared by parent volunteers from their respective community kitchens and then picked up by parents/guardians and/or delivered to children in public schools, communities, on the streets, and even in disaster and conflict areas. 28 April 2024 | Police Community Visit and Outreach

As we continue to build on the partnership with our police and the community, a team from the 8th MFC, RMFB, NCRPO led by PSsgt Victor Glori III under the supervision of PCapt Edwin Langbisan, Company Commander with the guidance of PCOL MARIO P MALANA, RMFB Force Commander and thru the strong Leadership of PMGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR, Regional Director, NCRPO, visited our Gawad Kalinga ISM Village at Pinagsama Phase 1, Taguig and conducted a demo on dishwashing soap making. This is to help the community in finding alternative sources of income. During the visit, 20 underprivileged families from Pinagsama Phase 1 (within and outside the GK villages) were identified and provided with food relief packs.

Thank you to Engr Linnel Malibiran and Ms Estel Gomez of LEEcon Environmental Engineering Services for the goods donation and supporting the activity.

GK SIBOL (sibol meaning “to grow”) serves children ages 3 to 6 years old. It is a community-based pre-school program that envisions each child to be imbued with positive Filipino values and to be academically prepared for formal schooling.

Dec 2, 2023 - Advancement in Reading and Learning (ARAL) Program Culminating Activity at Laura Drive ARAL Center at Bagumbayan, Taguig. Some 30 community children, 7-13 years old, completed the 3-month long ARAL Program (reading and literacy tutorials on Saturdays and Sundays from Sept-Nov 2023).

GK's ARAL Program, done in partnership with Bill Gosling Outsourcing Philippines, offered focused tutoring sessions to students needing extra support in reading and learning.

Focused on community children ages 7-13 years old who are challenged primarily with reading and comprehension, volunteer teachers from Bill Gosling employees, GK youth, and Sibol teachers conducted regular learning sessions on weekends for the kids. Big thank you to all our kuyas and ates and Sibol Teachers. We thank also our Kalinga Leaders and KBs (the L Groups) for helping with coordination, food preparation and assistance with the conduct of each session.

We are also grateful to some of our community partners: Bill Gosling employees for providing gifts, chicken joy meals and giveaways for the kids and volunteers during the culminating activity, and to JCI Fort Bonifacio Taguig City for the tokens for the children who completed the learning sessions (happy meal toys) and Property Host By: Eunice Sermona for the spaghetti and burger meals for the kids and volunteers during the culminating activity.

Dec 2, 2023 at Pinagsama, Taguig ARAL Center | GK ARAL Program (Advancement in Reading and Learning) Culminating Activity with some 30 kids successfully completing their reading and literacy tutorials on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) from September to November 2023.

We are also grateful to some of our community partners for providing additional support and cheers for the kids during the tutorial sessions and the culminating activity.
