While the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal in Metro Manila, including the City of Taguig, has been downgraded to No. 1, the Orange Rainfall warning — which could cause intense rains and heavy flooding — remains hoisted.

Taguig’s local public weather service, TOWER, also forecasts stormy weather in the City tomorrow.

With these potential threats, the CITY OF TAGUIG is suspending CLASSES in ALL LEVELS (PUBLIC AND PRIVATE) on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Schools shall resort to alternative modes of learning in accordance with the policies of the Department of Education.

The suspension will also allow time for recovery and inspection of schools and facilities to ensure safety before resuming classes.

🇵🇭 Maligayang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa! 🇵🇭

Agosto, Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa! Ito ay itinakda alinsunod sa Proklamasyon Blg. 1041, s. 1997 na nagpapahayag ng taunang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa tuwing Agosto. Layunin nito na ipasapuso at ipaunawa sa bawat mamamayang Pilipino ang tunay na diwa at kahalagahan ng Wikang Filipino. Adhikain din nitong lalo pang gisingin ang kamalayan ng lahat sa kahalagahan ng ating wika, ang wikang Filipino at mga Katutubong Wika, sa pang araw-araw na pakikisalamuha sa lipunan. Sa layuning ito, ang Mary Lourdes Academy, Inc. ay nakikiisa sa pagkamit nito.

Ngayong taon, ipagdiriwang ang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa sa temang “Pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika: Filipino Wikang Mapagpalaya". Ito ay pagkilala sa katotohanan ng pagiging linguistically diversed ng Pilipinas upang magkaroon ng mabisang komunikasyon at pagkakaisa sa pag-unawa sa mga pinagmulan at kultura ng bawat isa. Ito ang nagbubuklod sa mga mamamayan para sa kapayapaan at upang mapaunlad ang welfare ng bawat isa.
