Mankilam ES embraced the spirit of environmental stewardship by actively participating the Department of Education's initiative, the 236k Trees- A Christmas Gift for Children.

The school community recognized the significance of this campaign, which aimed to create a clean, green and sustainable environment to today's Filipino children and the future generations.

DepEd Tagum City Celebrates Collaboration and Friendships with Stakeholders

"In the heart of collaboration and friendship, we stand here today to honor the exceptional contributions of groups and individuals who have played a vital role in advancing our educational system and enhancing the overall welfare of our community," emphasized Dr. Alona C. Uy, the School's Division Superintendent, during the Partners Appreciation and Recognition event hosted by DepEd Tagum City's School Governance and Operations Division at the Tagum Historical Theater.

The event, held on November 20, 2023, was attended by Division Personnel, School Heads from elementary and secondary schools, school partnership focal, and key partners from local government units (LGUs).

Notably, the ceremony highlighted the recognition of school implementers of the different educational initiatives such as Brigada Eskwela, Adopt-a-School Program, Project WATCH, and DRRM Program and the significant presence of the major partner of every school.

Mrs. Virgilia Allones, the former Provincial Administrator of Davao de Oro, who was represented by Mr. Jeff Allones and Mrs. Urselyn Allones as major partners of Mankilam Elementary School were recognized for her invaluable support extended to our school for the past years.

Dr. Miraluz O. Panaligan, the school principal of Mankilam Elementary School, expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support from the Allones family, stating,

"We are much indebted to the support and assistance extended by the Allones family in their great contribution to the academic development of the school children."

The ceremony also recognized the outstanding efforts of the School's Brigada Eskwela Focal person, Mr. Ereck A. Banico Jr., and ASP Coordinator, Mrs. Girlie R. Banico. Both were presented with certificates of recognition for their invaluable contributions to the success of the program.

The Partners Appreciation and Recognition event not only celebrated achievements but underscored the power of collaboration in shaping the educational landscape of Tagum City. Dr. Uy concluded by expressing the shared commitment to continued collaboration, friendship, and excellence in education for the betterment of the community.
