Nature & Nurture is always happy to support offices and organizations working towards our common goal of planting more trees in our island home!

300 dao treelings were donated to the Catanduanes State University, Extension Services for this environmental initiative.

Together, let's make a difference, one tree at a time.

🌿A continuation of our Green Initiative 🌿

Through ENRO, Catanduanes, we distributed 1,000 dao seedlings to San Miguel, Pandan, Panganiban, and Bagamanoc.

With enhanced monitoring efforts and continuous coordination with the concerned MENRO's, our joint efforts will lead to the majority of these gigantic native trees, thriving in these areas.

'Dao' seedlings were given out to two batches of students from the Christian Polytechnic Institute of Catanduanes (CPIC). 🌱

The seedlings were planted in carefully selected areas with the student's pledge to nurture their growth. It's incredibly inspiring to witness the next generation taking active steps in preserving our island home. 💚

We are not just planting trees but also sowing the seeds of hope and responsibility. Here's to a greener, brighter future!

Epimaco Amancio laugh after the tree he planted 35 years ago saved the lives of 37 people mostly student that prevented the bus from falling the cliff in brgy Obo Dalaguete, Cebu.

"Dracontomelon dao is a large indigenous tree that can grow to about 35 meters high. Its edible fruit and young leaves can be cooked and eaten. Furthermore, its bark, leaves, and flowers can be used for traditional medicine purposes. Its seedlings prefer partial sunlight, while mature Dao trees prefer full sun exposure. " (NPDC)

Around 170 'DAO' seeds have sprouted and were transplanted by our team yesterday.

A total of 1,850 Yakal seeds have been potted! 😍

Yakal is a hardwood that is native to the Philippines and can grow to about 25 to 30 meters tall.

Our 'Nature' team is an amazing group of nature enthusiasts who are genuinely selfless in their efforts. They will also be tending to the plants for the next several months until they are once again ready for adoption.
