The Crimson Youth Network was present during the Zamboanga Youth Summit 2024 at Zamboanga Peninsula State University (ZPPSU) last August 17, 2024.

Immersing themselves in the passionate atmosphere of the congregation of young city leaders, the CYN members used the event as an avenue to improve their skills and capabilities of better serving the community and widening their knowledge on how to expand their leadership abilities.

The Crimson Youth Network spearheaded a feeding activity initiative at Barangay Salaan last July 30, 2024.

The aim of the event was to fill the tummies of the hungry, as well as to provide quality food and quench the thirst to those who were in need.

The Sponsoring company was the Virginia Inc., alongside with the ever supportive Kagawad Virgie Villanueva and Kagawad Anna Marie Joplo, as well as Annabelle O. Pioc.

CYN firmly believes that for every good deed, shall ripple waves of hope.

Last July 20, 2024, the CYN (Crimson Youth Network) officially participated in the Global Youth Summit 2024 as Zamboanga delegates to collectively foster the sixteen sustainable developmental goals in our city.

True to the principles that CYN holds dearly, the spirit of active engagement on current social issues, discourse on the educational status of the Philippines as a whole, and diversity through inclusivity in the community were thoroughly observed by the Zamboanga youth, in hopes to exercise them one day into a groundbreaking reality.

The event ended with photo opportunities with the honorary guests and speakers of the GYS 2024.

Last July 19, 2024, with Don Pablo Memorial High School as the venue, the CYN (Crimson Youth Network) officialy partook in the YORP (Youth Organizations Registration Program) to showcase their skills and natural aptitude for leadership and good governance.

In pursuant to producing world class leaders and broadening horizons through transformative trainings and progressive discussions, the event yielded a colorful and insightful outcome for the participants.

The following contributors orchestrated the event: Zamboanga Youth Development Office, National Youth Commission, Sangguniang Kabataan Zamboanga City Federation, and City Government of Zamboanga.

The CYN is brimming with honor and pride to represent the Crimson Youth!

The organizations honor and uphold the international ruling on the contested West Philippine Sea. As youth advocates, we believe it is important to encourage discourse on the WPS not only within academic circles but also at the grassroots level. We firmly acknowledge the significance of this binding resolution in promoting peace, stability, and cooperative relations within the region.

The heavy rain has caused different areas to be submerged in flood. Resulting to displaced families and affecting livelihood of our fellow Zamboangueños.

In line with this, Crimson Youth Network along with The New Blazer, Rotaract WMSU, and United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary - WMSU Chapter calls for in-kind and monetary contributions for the displaced families in the evacuation centers.

Pride Parade 2024 🌷

Crimson Youth Network joins the call for an inclusive and discrimination-free society. The organization believes that our pursuit for safe space and equality should not only end on pride month, but it should also be demanded in every institution and spaces where human rights are recognized.

CYN joins the observance of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia last May 16 at the Grand Astoria Hotel.

The group along with its fellow organizations have engaged in meaningful discourse addressing the SOGIE-related issues in workplace, school, and other places where people feel discriminated on the basis of their identity.

The program was made possible by the Mujer-LGBT Organization and Gender and Development Office of Zamboanga City.

Sa bawat naipapakita natin ang lakas ng nagkakaisang komunidad para sa mas maunlad, makatarungan, at maliwanag na kinabukasan.

Mga kwento ito ng mga batang naghahangad ng patas na oportunidad para sa kanilang edukasyon, mga pamilyang nangangarap ng maginhawang bukas, mga komunidad na nangangailangan ng pag-asa at pagbabago, at mga indibidwal na nais tumulong sa pag-angat ng buhay ng bawat isa.

The Crimson Youth Network (CYN)
(formerly known as Crimson Volunteer Network and Crimsons for Leni)
is a youth-led and non-profit organization that advocates for good governance and active citizenship.

The organization was established on July 5, 2022 with the vision of creating a learning space for competent and passionate young leaders anchored on the spirit of volunteerism, optimism, integrity, competence, and excellence.

On February 2023, the organization successfully registered in the Local Youth Development Council after completing the legal requirements under the Ordinance No. 485 or the ordinance creating the LYDC of Zamboanga City.

On November 2023, the organization has been recognized and approved in the National Youth Commission’s (NYC)
Youth Organization Registration Program.

The Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP) is a program of National Youth Commission to facilitate the youth and youth-serving organizations to ensure access and participation to NYC-initiated programs nationwide.

The organization's application has been approved after submitting its complied forms, organizational documents, and endorsement from the Local Youth Development Office to the commission. We are beyond excited to embark on this new journey was we continue to serve the Filipino youth in all walks of life.

Crimson Youth Network, along with its members in the LYDC Governance Committee; Jovenes Coalition and UNIDO successfully organized the Zamboanga Youth Summit 2023 at the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University last Saturday, Aug 12. The activity was supported by the City Government of Zamboanga through the Local Youth Development Office, and SK Federation of Zamboanga City.

Culture does not only define one's identity, but is also a reflection of our life, history, and ancenstry.

The Local Youth Development Council, through the support of the Local Government of Zamboanga and Local Youth Development Office proudly presents VINTA: Vibrancy in Intertribal Assembly.

This program aims to develop the youth's awareness and understanding in preserving culture and protection for the people that value their inheritage.
