On April 27, 2023, UWeU hosted its very first workshop at the Lincoln Corner in Karachi! The workshop focused on the ever-relevant topic of "The Art of Regulating Emotions." The goal of the workshop was to emphasize the immense value of mental health, especially among medical students in Pakistan.

The workshop was a lively and engaging event, filled with insightful discussions and practical tips on how to maintain optimal mental health in today's fast-paced world. Attendees had the chance to learn from experienced professionals and connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for mental wellness.

The workshop was a resounding success, with attendees leaving feeling inspired, energized, and equipped with valuable knowledge and strategies to take control of their emotional well-being. UWeU's dedication to promoting mental health is truly commendable, and we can't wait to show you what's next in our stores!

Emotional intelligence is never taught in our schools and workplaces, and hence it's the hardest peice of our everyday battles. Medical students are gifted with a high IQ, but when it comes to emotional intelligence they suck, therefore UWeU is providing an on ground dialogue on this topic, where participants would learn more about how to regulate emotions and how to calm themselves down when it comes to difficult emotions.

There are many among us who are going through hyper-functional Anxiety, the anxiety causes the individual severe identity crisis and panic attacks when they are performing low that in itself lead to great distress for the individuals, it feels worse when your sense of accomplishment is replaced by your constant fears of not being good enough, that too lead to intense dissatisfaction and emotional trauma.
It's hard to differentiate it from normal high functioning adults but here are some signs which may lead to hyper-functional anxiety.

Pakistan has a youth dominated population with 63% young adults among the whole population, empowering the youth in using the maximum of their abilities is possible when they are in a good mental state.

And as we know, mental health is the most neglected yet most overwhelming concern of our society, we aim to contribute our part on this topic under the banner of UWeU.

As the name says, UWeU, is your journey from yourself, 'U' to 'We' where we aim to improve your mental health together, and then a journey back to your empowered self 'U'. Sounds kinda thoughtful, right?
