A HÉLDER ALFAIATE – GALERIA DE ARTE, na Ericeira, inaugura a mostra de trabalhos The Infinite Ways of Creation, da artista Vanessa Teodoro que assinala a nova fachada da Galeria executada pela artista e uma exposição com mostra de trabalhos da mesma.
Esta mostra mergulha nos mundos da ilustração, do design gráfico e da Street Art, oferecendo uma nova perspectiva sobre a obra da artista e as diversas abordagens que ela aplicou a variados suportes.
Pratos em porcelana com inscrições que foram o seu exercício gráfico durante o confinamento, as linhas secretas nos seus Skates, as suas reflexões inscritas no preto sobre preto da madeira e um trabalho de pintura e escultura que nos leva ao contacto com formas femininas intervencionadas com um registo gráfico espontâneo. The Infinite Ways of Creation evidencia a versatilidade da artista, que desafia a sua zona de conforto para construir um portfólio mais rico e diversificado, revelando inúmeras possibilidades criativas, ou por outras palavras, infinitas formas de criação.

“The infinite ways of creation” • Is a new exhibition that will showcase some of my most recent artworks, as well as a journey through some of the different approaches and techniques that I’ve been exploring during these most recent years. Inspired by my background in graphic design, illustration and street art, this show reflects on the infinite possibilites that are available to the creative mind. As an artist, my aim is to challenge my comfort zone and keep diversifying my work, while trying to keep it fresh and meaningful in a world that can be so overstimulated as overwhelming.

Last September I created 4 surfboards at Lisbon Airport for as part of their program to promote portuguese culture to the world. Last month, to complete their initiative, I gave a workshop to the kids at / and DutyFree donated one of my boards and surf suits.
It was a very rewording experience working with these kids, reminding me that we should never lose our wonder and excitement, even when society tells us to “paint inside the lines” 💛

.pt wants to empower people of all ages and help them think about what it means to grow old, demystifying the limits “imposed” by society. In order for all of us to maximize and make the most of our longevity, we want to encourage people to value and take pride in their age by living it with purpose.

Nowadays, growing old in a healthy and balanced way is almost seen as an achievement. Keeping active and feeling useful in our society is a great way for that to happen. We believe that "Growing old isn’t luck, it’s talent" and that together we can change the way we grow old, because at the end of the day, "Talent has no age".

I’ve created this participative mural with the help of the 55+ team and it's members. 💙

With this project, even though most of my work is very graphic and abstract, I felt the need to add a human touch by giving a face to all the people 55+ that are a very important part of our society. Contrary to what we've been programmed to think with the examples we see in the job market, it's with and through experience that talent grows.

I was inspired by the Inside Out Project to help give life to this mural. Inside Out is a participatory platform that helps individuals and communities to make a statement by displaying large-scale black and white portraits in public spaces.

Together with 55+, we're giving a face to all the talents of the people 55+, showing what they do best and making it available to society.
