Veterinary 2 Any Emergency (V2TU) is a network of on-call veterinary clinics focused on veterinary emergencies and intensive care, open every night, 7 days a week, and 24 hours a day, on weekends and public holidays.

On the program, an explanation on the part of V2TU on a clinical case: "the gastric torsion" followed by the presentation of their clinic and a buffet by their care.

The clinic :
+) located at the gateway to the Brenne (Indre, 30 min south-west of Châteauroux, 10-15 min from the A20, i.e.: 3h from Paris by car and 1h from Limoges, 1h from Poitiers);
+) Mixed activity: 1/3 ruminants (50% Limousin and 50% Charolais, + some small ruminants (AOC/AOP Valençay) - 1/3 equine (private individuals, farms, sports) - 1/3 pets (private individuals, farms);
+) Recent buildings with good technical facilities (equine endoscope, digital radio (all species), biochemistry, NF, coagulation time, PCR analysers (all species), small laboratory for coproscopy, cytology, etc. (all species), ultrasound machines (all species);

We have the privilege of having dr. Leca Florin as the guest speaker for a presentation on cardiology, on 4th of May, h14:00, in TPPA 2 amphitheater. The presentation will be in English so all the students of the English study programme are welcomed to the aforementioned event.

Dr. Leca Florin has evaluated over 8400 cases, being the author of numerous scientific papers on veterinary cardiology, while performing functional/pharmacodynamic examinations and tests with a role in the predictability of heart disease.

The research carried out in his clinic (Doctor's Vet Univers) has led to tangible results, both in terms of solved cases and progress in veterinary cardiology in our country. The participation in the successful implantation of the epicardial pacemaker in dogs in 2010 (a first in the country considering the long-term survival of the patient), among the first successful operations performed in Heart Worms in dogs through a vascular approach (external jugular vein), and the implementation of the first complete cardiology examination bulletin (cardiac functional assessment, 2010), represented the recognition of the pioneering work done in veterinary cardiology.
