I remember weighting my self one evening with a friend and feeling awful like truly bad in my own skin, the truth is I've always had some fluffy points (IFYYK😅)
but this time it was different, this time i could feel anguish, unable to climb stairs, echoes of short breaths after a few minutes into doing any activity and i knew that i wanted that changed for good
Yes i wanted to look and feel good in any type of cloth of my choosing, but the turning point was me wanting to feel healthy, alive, happy in my own skin, youthful and fit all at the same time
I had in the past tried out crazy diets and pills but this time i wanted none of that, i wanted a healthy lifestyle where i would not feel burdened by the journey i was soon to embark on
I took a decision that completely changed my life and i am forever grateful that i gave myself a chance to feel and look how i do today
And the good part is i never feel like i am dieting or restricting myself from some meals or drinks, no i eat and drink whatever i want and you can too
If you are in the process of loosing weight
first of all change your mindset toward how you think , don't be mean to yourself with your words, our words are so powerful, and we became what we think , so think positively about your body because it is the only body you have and it has gone to great lengths in life with you, so even when joking don't joke with words like '' i am fat and ugly, i can't loose weight no matter what, i hate my stomach it's big and loose, loosing weight is not for me, i don't care if i am fat i am not the only one we all gonna die one day right? who cares'' yes we will all die but do you want to die hurting unable to move with a hundred billion ailments from excessive fats? i know i don't, i want to be able to move and feel healthy even in my late years
second hydrate, hydrate and hydrate
Hydrating is key and overall a must if you want a good general health but it is even more crucial if you are trying to loose weight because most foods that we consume nowadays are industrialized, full of chemicals and acids if we are not hydrating properly it is highly likely to get stuck in the colon causing bloating, inflammation, gas and we don't want that for our bodies do we? you would say but i drink plenty of water and liquids but still i am unable to loose weight, well do you detox once in a while with herbs, fruits and teas as well? water fast? eat enough nutrients? have a consistent physical activity as well? the truth is if you want to live a healthy life you have to be willing to make it work, it's not a one day forget till next week when i feel like type of thing, you have to show up for yourself the way you show up for your work or your loved ones, you have to be willing to put yourself first and show up because your life matters a great deal
