Located in Southeast Europe, Croatia is famed for its historical significance, picturesque coastline, and vibrant blend of Mediterranean and Central European influences. 🌍 Its capital, Zagreb, is a lively cultural hub that reflects the country’s dynamic modern identity while preserving its deep-rooted traditions. Croatia’s economy thrives on tourism, agriculture, and shipbuilding. Drawing from his extensive expertise and involvement in high-level policy advising, Professor Jeutner will guide us through the applications of law, analyzing the interactions between Israel and Hamas. We delved into discussions about career opportunities within the embassy, exploring various paths such as internships, local staff positions, and the diplomatic training path. These pathways illustrate the diverse avenues for involvement. During our visit, we gained valuable insights into the embassy’s multifaceted work, which spans culture, politics, economics, defense, climate, and human rights. Additionally, we learned about the warm relations between Germany and Denmark, with a focus on emerging energy politics as a key issue.

The Centre for European Studies at Lund University and the Association of Foreign Affairs in Lund are jointly hosting a full day of seminars to discuss challenges and opportunities in the European Union. UPF Lund set off on an exciting trip to Copenhagen yesterday for the first of two inspiring study trips organised by our Career Committee🌍!

They kicked off their exploration at UN City 🇺🇳, where they delved into the impactful work of UNOPS in procurement, infrastructure development, and global project management. In the afternoon, they had the privilege of visiting the Portuguese embassy 🇵🇹, engaging in insightful discussions with Miguel Pires, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of the Consular Section.

A special thank you to UN City Copenhagen ( ) and the Portuguese embassy for hosting us! We’re looking forward to our return to UN City next week for our second study trip. Stay tuned for more updates!

UPF went to Georgia!!! As members of the travel committee, we had the chance to get to know this country merged between Europe and Asia. We learnt so much from talking to people working for a wide variety of organizations, from feminist-focused ones such as Kvinna till Kvinna and the Women’s Fund, to the Swedish Embassy and SIDA! While all of the organizations visited were in Tbilisi, we also had some time to explore other parts of the country, such as the Kakheti region and the old city of Kutaisi! We truly had such an amazing time, enjoying stunning sceneries and some beautiful weather! ☀️🇬🇪
