My Community
Preserving the common man story for our collective memory in Queenstown and Bukit Merah Every community has a story to tell.
Through heritage walks, community museums and neighbourhood festivals, we wish to narrate the endearing story of the common man, celebrate the little things which make our neighbourhood special and connect people to the social networks in the community.
Happy National Day! 🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬
Did you know decentralised National Day Parades took place in Queenstown in 1983? 😄
This morning, we saw Go Sports Skate Shop and a Margaret Drive range of skate boards at Orchard Gateway.
How we have missed rollerblading at Block 6C Margaret Drive with our friends. How about you?
Beneath the Khiam Teck Provision Shop’s signage is an older sign which reads 谦德酒庄”, a liquor shop which sold wines and spirits in Holland Village in the 1970s
The new owner of the shop wants to remove the historical signage though. 🥹

Farewell Senoko Fishery Port
Senoko Fishery Port was a staple at My Community Festival over the past three editions and is one of our favourite tours. We had an unforgettable farewell tour a few mornings ago.
It had been a pleasure to meet the affable and hardworking fishmongers toiling after hours to make sure we have the freshest seafood every day. It was truly amazing to hear the close-knit community barter effervescently in Teochew, something we will miss as many of them will be retiring on 16 March 2024.
We will remember you, Senoko Fishery Port! We will meet again! 😃
