Curry Boy, who offers Japanese and Singapore fusion curry rice. Their Signature XL Pork Panko Curry Rice (S$8.90) is said to be a hit amongst teenagers and families. It consists of a large crusty piece of pork katsu immersed with rich local curry, a sunny-side-up egg and crunchy salad.

Katsu Curry.... 🍛🍛🍛 Singapore fusion style.... Japanese panko katsu pork or chicken + local Singapore Chinese curry... A bit spicier and more on the saltier side than typical Japanese curry.... This combination certainly works... The katsu itself is crispy, well cooked and tasted as good as some katsu stalls in Japan. And the best is the good serving size while keeping the price very very reasonable... 😋🍖🍛

Tonkatsu done the Panko(bread crumb coating) way at the recently opened 2nd outlet of Curry Boy from the peeps at Suki Group.

Got their XL Pork Panko that comes with Sunny Side Fried Egg & Balsamic infused shredded cabbage salad. Portion is so big that it covered up the rice underneath.
Pretty flaky appearance a result of using Panko rather than the normal ones. The curry did kick in it's spiciness as i reached the halfway mark. Noting that this is not Japanese Curry that's poured onto the side, rather it's the local version that's being used.

Quite surprised that they also sell Curry Puffs that had similar swirl marking from those at A1 Crispy Puffs.
Later on spotted the LED litted signboard that read 123 Curry Puffs, 50 years of Authentic Tradition since 1970.

Taste wise slight difference though.
I got their Sardine to try & they are quite generous with the fillings.

1st outlet is located at B.E.D.(opened few months back) that's also by the Suki Group.
Looking back, this does seems to be a franchise outlet nestled within a Hawker centre - Newton Circus.
