每年的农历五月初五是端午节。端午节是为了纪念中国古代的爱国诗人——屈原。当时，屈原的国家被攻陷。他不忍心看着祖国灭亡，便投江而死。到了今天，人们在这一天赛龙舟、吃粽子，以表达对屈原的纪念。

The Dragon Boat Festival has its origins in ancient China. It is said that during a time of political turmoil, a poet named Qu Yuan, deeply disheartened by the state of his country, chose to leap into a river. Upon hearing of his desperate act, the villagers embarked on boats, searching tirelessly for him. In their quest, they tossed rice dumplings into the water, hoping to prevent the fish from devouring his remains. Even to this day, the tradition of dragon boat racing and the consumption of rice dumplings have become deeply ingrained customs, integral to the celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival.
