On 17 May 2024, we completed a two-week intensive course with NUS Year 3 medical students through the EYS-NUS Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Elective Program.

This annual initiative, jointly organized by Eu Yan Sang and the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, aims to provide a basic appreciation of TCM to future Western doctors.
Conducted by Eu Yan Sang’s experienced Physicians, the program covered basic TCM concepts, diagnostic techniques, and included hands-on sessions in acupuncture and cupping.

The goal is to spark interest in TCM and provide these future healthcare professionals with a more holistic approach to patient care.

At Eu Yan Sang, we believe TCM can complement mainstream healthcare for a more comprehensive, patient-centric journey. This initiative is a step towards fostering open-mindedness and mutual respect between future Western medical practitioners and TCM professionals.
