In WSH, psychological safety means ensuring employees feel safe and empowered to speak up. It is the shared belief that one will not face consequences for voicing out their concerns, ideas, questions or mistakes.

The WSH Council has developed a psychological safety kit containing resources that healthcare institutions can utilise to inculcate psychological safety among their employees. It contains a deck of slides for managements’ guidance and an eDM that can be used for internal communications to employees.

The Centre for Sustainable Development is proud to host Dr Iftekhar Ahmed from the University of Newcastle in a research seminar titled "Climate Action: Adaptive Flood Risk Management in the Hunter-Newcastle (Australia) Region".

Through Dr Ahmed's research, you will learn about
1️⃣ the region's unique and intensifying flood risk factors and climate drivers;
2️⃣ strategies to enhance community-centered resilience and capacity to adapt to floods;
3️⃣ collaborative efforts across agencies for preparedness, response and recovery; and
4️⃣ the integration of disaster risk reduction and climate adaption in building resilience.

ℹ️ The Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD) was launched in January 2024 at Newcastle Australia Institute of Higher Education to leverage on the University of Newcastle’s strengths in the areas of sustainability research, knowledge and action for Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.

The CSD is guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Singapore’s 2030 Green Plan, Zero Waste Masterplan and the Singapore-Australia Green Economy Agreement. The CSD aims to achieve climate resiliency and attain optimal food security, as well as to build capacity and empower leadership to provide innovative solutions to sustainability challenges.
