Over 160 members of our My First Skool family gathered for a special day of love, laughter, and cooking at the Gramps' & Kids’ Cookout session at At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy! Grandparents and little ones teamed up to make Mac & Cheese and Apple Tart, creating sweet memories and learning from each other along the way. 💞👴🏼👵🏼

“Our goal is not just to teach cooking, but to bring generations together, sharing life experiences and creating memories that will last for years to come,” shared Thian Ai Ling, General Manager of My First Skool.

Thank you Doctor Anywhere for partnering with us as part of our My First Club initiative! The event's highlight, the "Eat Smart, Grow Strong!" workshop, was led by Principal Dietitian Mdm Soh Wan Keem, who shared how proper nutrition can make a world of difference in children’s health and well-being. Our little ones also enjoyed an interactive session building their very own "My Healthy Plate!" 🥗😋

My First Club is all about learning beyond the classroom, fostering practical life skills and values, and promoting family bonding. 💞 Through this partnership, we aim to introduce children and families practical tips that make practising healthy eating habits an easier feat for busy parents.

What a day it was at the Teck Ghee Children's Day Carnival! 🎉

We had an amazing turnout, with children and families from four of our Ang Mo Kio centres coming together to join the fun and celebrate our little ones. Our K2 children also put on a dance performance for the audience!

The highlight of the day was meeting Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, making the event even more special and memorable for everyone! 💖

Since 2019, My First Skool at Blk 667 Hougang Ave 4 and Blk 677 Hougang Ave 8 have proudly supported the annual "Bag to School" event, organised by Ci Yuan CC to help children from low-income families. This year, 10 of our children were beneficiaries of this programme. 🌟

The 2024 event focused on sustainability and was graced by Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong as the Guest-of-Honour. Our little ones designed the event backdrop using recycled materials, while parents joined in by creating beautiful upcycled tote bags from plastic during a special workshop. ♻️

We are grateful for the enthusiastic response from our community, reaffirming the importance of sustainability and social support in shaping bright futures for our children. 💚

Our heartfelt congratulations to Jas Chia, Executive Principal at My First Skool at Blk 491 Admiralty Link, for clinching the EcoFriend Award! 🤩 Now in its 16th year, the award, presented by the National Environment Agency (NEA), recognises outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to Singapore's sustainability journey. We’re proud to share that My First Skool is the only preschool to receive this honour!

Since 2016, Jas has led the centre’s sustainability programme, empowering both children and staff to embrace eco-friendly practices like upcycling, water conservation, and energy saving. Through thoughtful, hands-on activities, she has instilled a deep appreciation for the environment in our little ones. 🌿♻️😉

A love for reading opens doors to a world of imagination and discoveries 📖💫

Our teachers from My First Skool at Blk 487 Segar Road invited the children to dress up as their favourite storybook characters and bring their stories to life! With parents joining us, it was a perfect blend of learning and bonding, making reading a cherished shared experience for all. 🤗

We don’t just teach children their ABCs; we also guide them in developing essential lifestyle habits. 😉🥗

Our continuous partnership with the Health Promotion Board, Singapore ensures that our little ones at My First Skool learn the importance of balanced diets, regular exercise, and good hygiene from an early age. Our little ones at Blk 443A Fajar Road enjoyed a puppet show that taught them about healthy nutrition, followed by an interactive session where they created their own Healthy Plate.

To top it off, they prepared nutritious sandwiches using low-sugar strawberry jam and wholemeal bread, making healthy choices both fun and delicious! 🥪✨
