Despite the challenging economic landscape, fresh SIT-DigiPen (Singapore) alumni continue to enjoy healthy salaries and employment rates in the latest 2023 Joint Autonomous University Graduate Employment Survey. The recent graduates commanded a median gross monthly salary of $4,800 and an overall employment rate of 85.6% within six months after graduation.
Graduates of the BS in Computer Science in Real-Time Interactive Simulation continue to lead in salary outcomes, with the surveyed cohort drawing a median gross monthly salary of $5,000. Those from the BS in Computer Science and Game Design program were not far behind, drawing a median gross monthly salary of $4,900 — a significant increase from the previous year.
BEng in Systems Engineering (ElectroMechanical Systems) graduates enjoyed comparable employment outcomes to last year's figures, achieving a median gross monthly salary of $4,705 and an overall employment rate of 89.2%. Our art and design students also did well, enjoying the largest jumps in their overall employment rates. Those from BA in Game Design achieved 86.4% overall employment, while the BFA in Digital Art and Animation graduates enjoyed 84.0% overall employment.

Ghostlore, a retro Diablo-inspired action RPG that is based on Southeast Asian folklore, was launched last year and is the brainchild of 2013 BFA in Digital Art and Animation graduate Andrew Teo. It took five years for him and indie game developer Adam Teo to work on and launch the game. They share more about the process and their launch day experience in this AsiaOne interview.

Our heartiest congratulations to the 55 trainees from the Technology in Finance Immersion Programme (TFIP) 2023 cohort - data analytics and software engineering tracks! We're so proud of you and wish everyone all the best as you embark on the next phase of your learning journey. All trainees will be joining various financial institutions such as DBS Bank, Prudential, Barclays, and JP Morgan over the next 12 months where they will put their training to good use.
TFIP aims to help eligible Singapore citizens and permanent residents develop expertise in specialized technology areas within the financial services sector, and this is the fourth year that DigiPen (Singapore) has participated as one of the training providers.
So far, we have trained over 250 trainees in various fields like machine learning and full stack software development since 2020. It has been our privilege to support and train tech talent for the financial services sector all these years.
We would also like to thank Ms. Chia Mun Wei and Ms. Ranjini Ramachandran from The Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF) for joining us for the ceremony, and we look forward to more partnerships to come.

Not many students can count visiting a wildlife park in Spain as part of their curriculum, but that's exactly what our BFA in Digital Art and Animation students got to do during their recent Overseas Immersion Programme (OIP) in DigiPen Institute of Technology Europe Bilbao. The students went on an educational visit to Basondo Wildlife Center as part of their animal anatomy class to practice observing and sketching various animals.

Last week, DigiPen (Singapore) co-hosted an event with Tencent Singapore on Exploring Career Pathways in the Gaming Industry. The event had a fantastic turnout, with over 150 students, educators, and industry partners gaining invaluable insights into the dynamic field of gaming.
Students had the opportunity to engage with panels of industry leaders and Tencent's gaming experts, asking questions and learning more about Singapore's vibrant gaming landscape and the wide range of career opportunities available. A huge thank you to the Tencent team for organizing and hosting such a successful event! 😊💯
On the 17th of May, Dr. Liu Fang, associate professor for computer science at DigiPen (Singapore), gave a guest lecture at Huaiyin Institute of Technology in China on incorporating computer vision into ChatGPT. Dr. Liu Fang also met and engaged in an insightful discussion with the faculty from the school of computer science and software engineering, led by Dean Chen Xiaobing.

Last Wednesday, our final-year students from the BEng in Systems Engineering (ElectroMechanical Systems) held their Capstone Project Showcase and presented their innovative engineering projects to guests and industry partners. Projects range from portable glaucoma detector to an autonomous cleaning robot and a solar-powered robot, among many others. Many thanks to everyone who joined and attended this event!
We recently had the opportunity to catch up with our strategic partner, NetVirta, and had a meaningful discussion with their Co-Founder and CTO, Mr. Andy Eow (left side). It was also great to connect with some of our graduates and interns from BS in Computer Science Real-time Interactive Simulation and BS in Computer Science Interactive Media and Game Development who are actively contributing to their innovative 3D scanning solutions.
