On the16th August, our amazing participants from Frasers Hospitality completed their Ride & Ralk for Rainbows route, covering a total of 10km! 🚴‍♂️👟 They have raised funds to support the children of Club Rainbow (Singapore), making every step and pedal count. 🌟 Celebrating Heroes: A Heartfelt Tribute to Caregivers and Siblings 🌟

On 31 August, Club Rainbow (Singapore) hosted Celebrating Heroes at HomeTeam NS Khatib, celebrating the dedication of caregivers and siblings who go above and beyond for their loved ones.

This year, we proudly honoured our Exemplary Caregiver Award recipients: Boey Shu Whuen, Yvette Wang, and Mashurny Herniaty Binte Masjod. The Resilience Family Award was presented to Suzannah Abu Bakar and her elder children, Siti Haleymatul Jannah Binte Jamal and Mohammed Jaffer Ashiddiqe Bin Jamal. We also recognised young heroes like Qistina Ad'delyna Binte Mohammad Riduan, Siti Haleymatul Jannah Binte Jamal, Mohamed Nigel Bin Junaidi, and Nurul Nadhira Binte Muhammad Fizul with the Exemplary Sibling Award.

🎉 National Day Walk 2024: A Day of Celebration and Unity! 🌈

On Saturday, 10th August, Club Rainbow hosted a memorable National Day Walk as part of our Ride & Ralk for Rainbows initiative. Around 40 participants, including our beneficiaries and their families, gathered in red and white to honour Singapore’s birthday. It was a day filled with outdoor fun and fitness activities, highlighting the importance of quality time together.

The walk kicked off at Shimano Cycling World, featuring engaging family activities and a Basic Bike Maintenance Workshop by Shimano. 🚴‍♂️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and supported this wonderful event. Together, let’s continue to ride & ralk so others can see their rainbows! 🚶🌈

Donor & Fundraising Ralker Spotlight: Melvyn

Meet Melvyn, a donor of Club Rainbow who is participating in Ride & Ralk for Rainbows for the first time as a Ralker! Melvyn shares what inspired him to join Ride & Ralk for Rainbows, memorable moments from the special challenges, and what has been most rewarding for him.

As a Club Rainbow (CRS) donor, Melvyn has been receiving monthly e-newsletters. When he read about the event in the newsletter, he thought it could provide him with a target to clock some miles and was intrigued by the special challenges such as Jalan Jalan Trail, Makan Trail, and Trail Art.

Also, his nephew was a beneficiary of CRS. To him, this is an opportunity to raise and spread awareness of the event's purpose and the good deeds done by CRS. Thus, he decided to take
this opportunity to get some ralking done and also try to raise donations, hoping for support from those around him and those he can reach.

Melvyn also shares some interesting sights he observed while completing the special challenges: “There are a lot of chickens in Singapore! I've seen them when doing all 3 challenges: in the greenery beside the roads and HDB blocks, broods of chickens along the Green Corridor, and in the food center chicken rice stalls. So many!”

Support Ride & Ralk for Rainbows and Make a Difference!

Meet Umaira and her family, one of the many families benefiting from Club Rainbow's support. Umaira, a 15-year-old with a heart condition and Global Developmental Delay, relies on her mother, Mdm Noorliah, for daily care.

Despite being non-verbal, Umaira expresses her love through gestures and smiles. For the past seven years, Club Rainbow has been a vital source of support for Umaira's family. They receive monthly financial support, essential supplies like diapers, and annual bursaries that help with educational expenses.

Umaira also benefitted from weekly therapy services that aid her development, while Mdm Noorliah finds emotional support through our dedicated social workers.

Ride & Ralk for Rainbows 2024 Ride for Rainbows is a flagship night cycling fundraising event organised by Club Rainbow (Singapore) since 2012.
