[Tea Harvest Tour 2025]

For Japanese Tea Enthusiasts!

A Japanese Tea centric tour where we will visit the lesser known Shirakawa-cho (Gifu prefecture) to learn more about mountain tea and how it is different from the more common green tea from Shizuoka and Uji. The tour will begin in Nagoya.

We will stay 3 nights in a ryokan near the tea plantation, ryokan rooms are 2 to share. Our last night back in a hotel in Nagoya will be 1 person per room.

Highlights of the tour include:
* Kama-iri-cha workshop 釜炒り茶 (olden way of stir-frying mountain tea in an iron kettle pot, makes the most umami tea)
* Hand-roll tea workshop 手揉み茶
* Tea Brewing Masterclass

FLOR Duxton Hill - Permanently Closed

Thank you from the bottom of our collective hearts. 14 years is a long run for any FnB in Singapore. We are grateful to be able to do what we do, a pure patisserie that serves good Japanese cakes and coffee, and do it for so long.

You can find us next at 42 Siglap Drive and Online for island wide delivery. We are still baking and doing what we do best. Siglap Drive has a cosy 10-seater dine-in space and we will be conducting baking classes there, right in our professional kitchen. And we are launching something exciting soon. So keep a lookout. 😆

SUMMER TOUR 2024

A 4D3N tour that covers Himeiji and Kobe. Highlights of the tour include:
• Miso-making class (you get to bring home your own miso)
• Bread class (learn from hard bread master)
• Dessert class (learn to make classic dessert peach Melba using Japanese white peach from Kobe Meister)
• Flower arrangement class (you get to bring home your own arrangement)
• Cooking class + Market shopping (learn how to make Makizushi/ Chirashizushi)
• Farmers market and Fisherman market visits
• Peach picking

Tour includes all meals, accommodations (one room per person), private transport where applicable (we will be traveling by train on 2 days), classes and activities. You will need to buy your own air ticket and travel insurance.

We will meet at hotel in Kobe directly on Day 1, at 11am. Tour will end at around 3pm on Day 4. Do note that the itinerary is subject to minor changes.

As we mature as a brand, we gravitate towards having our own designs not only in our signature packaging, but in our festive packaging as well. Hence, starting last Christmas, Chef Heidi tried her hand in designing the sleeve for Sable Cookie giftbox. The result was not too bad to be honest, so we continued this design-it-yourself project this CNY.

We (by extension Chef Heidi) are not design-trained, but we hope you'd like our quirky, one of a kind CNY packaging this year.

[Autumn Tour 2024 - Saké and Food]

A rare 2 slots have opened up for our 31 Oct - 03 Nov 2024 Tour. Flip to see tour details. This tour will focus on Japanese saké and wines, and both gourmet and simple food.

Highlights of this tour include:

1) Dashi workshop - you’ll learn how to make different types and flavours of Dashi using a variety of konbu

2) French Cooking Class at an upscale French-Japanese restaurant taught by Chef Matsushima, followed by lunch at the restaurant

3) Kobe’s oldest market visit + Washoku cooking class with Chef Okada. Prepare and cook a simple Japanese dinner.

4) Visit to a Dairy Farm to see high small batch high quality milk is produced.

If you don’t already know, Sarah and Nigel, the power duo behind Omelet Trees Studio, makes beautiful ceramic works in the form of practical tableware and decorative pieces. We’ve been working with them since 2017, be it in the form of exhibition or markets, and we feel incredibly touched to witness firsthand the growth and evolution of their craft. Who remembers Flow Mugs? 🙋🏻‍♀️😆

We will be having a special dine-in menu, featuring some of our favorite food from past events like the 8 Ingredient Makizushi, which is supposed to bring you luck after eating it! 😂 Flip on to see the menu.

APPLE SWEET POTATO TART

As we are approaching late autumn, we are seeing peak harvest of Aomori Apple and Beni Haruka Sweet Potato. So we thought why not marry the two and make one really good tart? 😆

Beni Haruka Sweet Potato tart made with a whole lot of sweet potato, butter, eggs, and cream, baked to a soft custard-like texture with chunks of sweet potato. Then topped with a dollop of pastry cream and crisp Aomori Apples cut into cubes.

We want you to enjoy the contrast of two textures and flavours. 😊

Our 3 year old collaboration is still beautifully alive! This calls for a celebration 🎉.

This year, we made a MSW durian version of our Christmas logcake for .cafe, using only the best MSW durian from . Brown sugar genoise sponge rolled with durian chantilly and a pure durian center. Topped with piped fresh cream and chocolate decorations. May keep for up to 2 days in the fridge.

OSAKA | KOBE SWEETS TOUR - SPRING 2024

This is a 5D4N tour spanning over Osaka, Shiga, and Kobe. We will stay 2 nights in Osaka and 2 nights in Kobe, eating our way through Kansai sweets and good food.
