My Loyang Valley neighbours , spent a wonderful weekend in Rompin..Sailfish galore...7 virgins done!!!...with Cobia & squid for dinner..

Finally almost all Covid restrictions lifted for South East Asia..

Finally after 2 years of Covid, our 1st group out of Australia
Not easy to locate the sails as not many boats out on water..Covid has hit the Rompin skippers & town hard

Finally after a delay of 24 months, we managed a lovely week of fishing in Maldives.
Surrounded by pristine blue seas, all different shades of blue.
Lots of laughter, drank the boat dry, caught a few biggies & I managed to get a new fish..a nice 5kg Yellow Fin (Yellow Edged) Grouper

Biggest was a Malabar Grouper of at least 25kg. GT's. Coral trouts. Snappers..you name it..

Light at the end of 2 years of dreaming of the fish of my life.

Rompin, Malaysia's Sailfish capital, has been suffering with loss of international fishos. Skippers had to take odd jobs just to survive, unfortunately some boats were sold to help with family expenses.

Malaysia is now opened & Hook On C will be kicking off in August

As my passion is Food & Fishing, or vice versa, HoC package of the Rompin Experience restarts. I do miss the food..or was it the incredible tail dancing
