What does it truly mean to be fit?
Physical appearance can be misleading when it comes to assessing someoneโs overall fitness level. While having a toned physique may suggest a certain level of physical fitness, it doesnโt necessarily translate to functional fitness.
The ability to move well, encompassing factors like agility, endurance, mobility, balance, and coordination, is the true essence of fitness.
One can have a sculpted body from specific exercises but lack the functional fitness required for everyday tasks or sports activities. Conversely, individuals who may not have a visibly toned physique can still possess excellent functional fitness if they engage in activities promoting overall movement capability.
Therefore, itโs essential to recognize that true fitness goes beyond looks and focuses on the ability to move effectively and safely in various physical scenarios.
