His nonparticipation in the battle is another side of attachment

Arjuna was therefore advised by the Lord to fight as a matter of duty without attachment to the result. His nonparticipation in the battle is another side of attachment. Such attachment never leads one to the path of salvation. Any attachment, positive or negative, is cause for bo***ge.

SHIVA MANTRA CHANTING at RATHA YATRA FESTIVAl ISKCON LOS ANGELES 2024 24/08/2024

Hare Krsna just see how the contamination has affected ISKCON so badly that they are chanting Siva Mantra instead of Hare Krsna

SB 12.3.51: kaler doṣa-nidhe rājann
asti hy eko mahān guṇaḥ
kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya
mukta-saṅgaḥ paraṁ vrajet

My dear King, although Kali-yuga is an ocean of faults, there is still one good quality about this age: Simply by chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, one can become free from material bo***ge and be promoted to the transcendental kingdom.

SB 12.3.52: kṛte yad dhyāyato viṣṇuṁ
tretāyāṁ yajato makhaiḥ
dvāpare paricaryāyāṁ
kalau tad dhari-kīrtanāt

Whatever result was obtained in Satya-yuga by meditating on Viṣṇu, in Tretā-yuga by performing sacrifices, and in Dvāpara-yuga by serving the Lord's lotus feet can be obtained in Kali-yuga simply by chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra.

A similar verse is found in the Viṣṇu Purāṇa (6.2.17), and also in the Padma Purāṇa (Uttara-khaṇḍa 72.25) and the Bṛhan-nāradīya Purāṇa (38.97):
dhyāyan kṛte yajan yajñais
tretāyāṁ dvāpare 'rcayan
yad āpnoti tad āpnoti
kalau saṅkīrtya keśavam
"Whatever is achieved by meditation in Satya-yuga, by the performance of sacrifice in Tretā-yuga, and by the worship of Lord Kṛṣṇa's lotus feet in Dvāpara-yuga is obtained in the age of Kali simply by glorifying the name of Lord Keśava."

The Bṛhan-nāradīya Purāṇa recommends:
harer nāma harer nāma harer nāmaiva kevalam
kalau nāsty eva nāsty eva nāsty eva gatir anyathā
"For spiritual progress in this Age of Kali, there is no alternative, no alternative, no alternative to the holy name, the holy name, the holy name of the Lord."

The Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra is specifically mentioned in many Upaniṣads, such as the Kali-santaraṇa Upaniṣad, where it is said:
hare kṛṣṇa hare kṛṣṇa
kṛṣṇa kṛṣṇa hare hare
hare rāma hare rāma
rāma rāma hare hare
iti ṣoḍaśakaṁ nāmnāṁ
kali-kalmaṣa-nāśanaṁ
nātaḥ parataropāyaḥ
sarva-vedeṣu dṛśyate
"After searching through all the Vedic literature, one cannot find a method of religion more sublime for this age than the chanting of Hare Kṛṣṇa."

Three enemies of the living entity

The living entities have three enemies, namely desire, anger and lust. These three enemies force the living entities to continue material existence, and when one is free from them he is eligible to enter the kingdom of God. One should not, therefore, be angry in the absence of an opportunity for sense gratification, and one should not be l***y to acquire more than necessary.

Our Story

Hare Krishna Temple in Singapore

The International Sri Krishna Mandir (ISKM) has its roots in Singapore. Sri Krishna Mandir (SKM) is the original name by which the Hare Kṛṣṇa movement has been operating in Singapore since 1997.

In 2006, we spread to Malaysia in a small way when we purchased a 4-acre land for a farm near a town called Kota Tinggi in the state of Johor. But it was only from 2011 that the expansion started to happen rapidly and the footprint of ISKM has expanded to more than 12 countries. On the 27th of June, 2016, the day after the grand and popular Ratha Yātrā celebration in Singapore, all the SKM leaders from our different countries assembled and we had our first international meeting.

In that meeting, we decided that we would rename ourselves as International Sri Krishna Mandir as we have become truly international. The legal names of our societies in all our countries of operation were not going to change (at least not immediately) but we added the word International to celebrate our international presence in the service of Śrīla Prabhupāda.
