Chen Li Presbyterian Church held our first beach clean-up project at East Coast Park on 22 May led by Zhe Kai from ME service and supported by other CGLs and reflection materials from Creation Care SG .

It is indeed a meaningful event. We saw paricipants across different age groups come together early this morning. What amazed us the most was a few beach goers with their young kids also joined us in the beach cleaning too!

Today, we collected 20 bags, totalling about 60kg. Thank you for partcipating!

Remember, we are called to be custodians of this earth that God has created. We hope today has got our participants more mindful of our actions & habits!

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lenten season. Lent is traditionally a 40-day fast - a reference to the time Jesus spent being tested in the desert - where the heart of a believer is prepared for the remembrance of the death of Christ.

Ash Wednesday was celebrated by the early church and continues to be celebrated today by believers of different denominations. It is not commanded in Scripture, nor is it bad if your church does or doesn't host a service. The ashes are symbolic of a penitent nature, but they do not affect your salvation or sanctification in any way. Salvation belongs to the Lord alone. It is by grace through faith that we are saved, which is the work of the Holy Spirit.

The church is gearing up to celebrate her 50th anniversary in Missions this year and then in 2024, the 90th anniversary of Chen Li Presbyterian Church.

We are 87 years young & we will be celebrating our church anniversary in this month of July! It has not been an easy journey but it is one that is filled with memories and stories of church building, church plantings, and disciple making.

Dear Church - after careful deliberation, the BCP team has decided to stop live congregational services for the time being until further notice.

We will conduct livestream worship service at 10am on Sundays. As usual, your leaders will send them out to you beforehand or you may subscribe to the Church's Youtube channel to ensure that it pops up on your feed.

In line with government measures, all church staff with be working from home. If you need to reach out to any of them, please contact them directly.

Livestream services will commence from 23 May 2021 (this coming Sunday).

Please stay well and healthy - do not forget to reach out to the community of people around us and check in on them from time to time. We look forward to the time when we can fellowship safely in person again. Shalom~

Dear Church, our government has updated the nation on tightened measures for the recent spike in COVID-19 cases.

As such, the church will reduce the number of people attending each ME / MH service to 50 pax (down from 100 pax) starting 16 May 2021.

Since this announcement only came in the afternoon of 14 May, the Church has decided to maintain our current 2-services 2-zones format for this Sunday (16 May). We will reduce the total number of congregation (including working personnel) to less than 50 pax for each service.

Therefore, please note that in-person church services are still in place for this week. ME service at 9am will continue have live streaming on YouTube.

We once again remind and urge all church members who are attending ME or MH service in CLPC to leave the church premises as quickly as possible when service is over.

1) ... ❌ attend church service physically if you or your family have been to TTSH from 18 April onwards (date inclusive). Please note that our ushers will very kindly turn down your request to enter even if your swab test was returned negative. Kindly wait 21 days from your date of visit before returning to CLPC.

2) ... ❌ sing during worship even though you are masked. Both ME & MH services will not have live worship but they will be pre-recorded/Youtube worship. Let us mediate on the lyrics in our hearts as we praise our Lord.

3) ... ❌ stay or linger unnecessarily after ME/MH service. Sanitisation will take place immediately after each service. You can help by leaving the premises promptly so that cleaning can take place effectively.

A ) ... ✅ use the hand sanitisers which are placed around the entrances and sanctuary or wash your hands frequently.

B ) ... ✅ reduce the number of interaction when you are in church. This is necessary to protect us and others during this time where cases are rising.

In addition, Children / Youth Sunday School WILL NOT have classes in person. The respective teachers will be in touch on how classes shall be conducted digitally/remotely.

We will also REDUCE the number of people in each Zone A & B area to 35 pax.

Last Saturday, the church witnessed the ordination and induction of Pr Chen Yi-fen & Pr Hsueh Shu Chen as associate ministers of Chen Li Presbyterian Church. Leading the ordination process was Rev. Wong Siow Hwee, Moderator of the Chinese Presbytery in Singapore.

We extends our thanks to the Synod for their support as well as to everyone who helped make this event a joyous occasion.

May we continue to keep our new Reverends in prayer and for the Lord to lead them in His grace and wisdom.
