Racial Harmony Day is an annual event held on 21 July to commemorate the communal riots of 1964 and teach students the importance of maintaining racial and religious harmony in Singapore’s multicultural and multi-ethnic society.

The residents had an enjoyable time with our Branch Chair Baey Yam Keng 马炎庆 on our recent weekend trip to Malacca-Muar. Stay tuned for details on our next trip with residents. Feel free to leave a comment and suggest destinations you’d like for our upcoming trip.

Our branch began organizing trips with residents in 2014. This year marks the 10th anniversary of these trips. On our recent trip, we had residents who have been joining us for the past 10 years! Thank you so much for your support, and we look forward to organizing more events and activities to engage with our residents!

Last Sunday, we held our monthly free haircut and nail trimming service. 61 residents received their haircuts and 15 residents have their nails trimmed. A big thank you to all the volunteers!

Last Sunday, the seniors enjoyed a movie screening organised by the activists. Many of the seniors haven’t been to the cinema to watch a movie for many years and some have never been to the cinema to watch a movie before.

Thank you to JackNeoCK and 马一朵for making a surprise visit at this morning’s screening of Money No Enough 3 for senior citizens.

We also appreciate the generosity of Mr Lim Chin Boon for sponsoring the tickets and snacks for the seniors.

We have received an overwhelming sign-ups for the movie screening for our senior citizens, and we’re pleased to announce that the tickets are now fully subscribed. Thank you for your support!

PAP Tampines North is organising a movie screening for our senior citizens.

As many senior citizens have not been to the cinema for a long time, our PAP.SG activists decided to organise this treat for them.

Thanks to Cathay for the discount, we booked a screen at Century Square for an exclusive event. Tickets and snacks are generously sponsored by Mr Lim Chin Boon. 🙏

We have invited senior citizens based on our Meet People Session database. Additional tickets are available on a first come first serve basis.

Our Branch Chairman Baey Yam Keng 马炎庆 and our branch activists/volunteers distributed dates as a token of well wishes for our Muslim residents during Ramadan. A big thank you to Ba'alwie Mosque Singapore / Roses of Peace for donating the dates.

Wrapping up the final Meet-the-People Session of 2023. Last night was our last Meet-the-People Session for the year and we have served more than 1000 residents in 2023. We hope their issues have been addressed adequately.

We had a simple year-end celebration to thank all the volunteers who have been helping at the Meet-the-People Session. A big thank you to all volunteers!
