to Masyarakat Gemilang Conference (MGC) held last Saturday! Over 300 youth were immersed in a day of innovation and excitement at this year's MGC held at Google Singapore. The conference was packed with cutting-edge activities including holograms, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), life-sized puzzles, and leadership and personality tests. 🧩🌐✨

Through three dynamic pavilions - Leadership, Lifting Lives and Limitlessness, the event aimed to help students understand their aspirations, redefine success, and create a roadmap to achieve their goals.

✨ ASPIRING FUTURES ✨

: Last Wednesday, 10 Jul 2024, about 400 researchers, policy makers, community partners, professionals, and youth attended MENDAKI Symposium 2024 at Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

This year's MENDAKI Symposium is themed "Aspiring Futures: Bridging Dreams to Actions", welcoming our youth to share personal stories related to key insights from MENDAKI's two-year Muslim Youth Aspiration Study. The study will help MENDAKI better understand factors affecting Muslim youth aspirations and to explore academic and career interventions to support them.

School Ready, Perform in School and Future Ready | Yayasan MENDAKI Yayasan MENDAKI is a pioneer Self-Help Group formed in 1982 dedicated to empower the community through excellence in education.

It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Hj Mohamad Maidin bin Packer Mohd on Monday, 24 June.

A senior journalist, Hj Mohamad Maidin was one of MENDAKI’s Founding Members who helped inspire our mission of uplifting the Malay/Muslim community through education and lifelong learning. He was also active as a Committee Member from 1985 to 1987, and as a Council Member from 1988 to 1989.

He then served as Member of Parliament for Kampung Ubi and as Senior Parliamentary Secretary.

All along, Hj Maidin’s deep concern for the community and commitment to its wellbeing was exemplary.

Our deepest condolences to the family of Allahyarham Hj Mohamad Maidin bin Packer Mohd. Al-Fatiha.

The AGM received and adopted the Directors’ Reports and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023. The AGM also saw the re-election of four Directors and election of two new Directors to the Board.
