Life's a beach! Our first company offsite since... ever. Great to get the team together outside the office at a place other than a restaurant. We've discovered that we have an in-house Beach Volleyball team AND an Ultimate Frisbee team. Fun Fact: Ultimate as a sport is eligible for the 2028 Olympics. LA, here we come!

Taking advantage of having another photographer around so we could get a group photo that wasn't a selfie 😃. Missing our colleagues from Myanmar but we hope to be hosting them soon. Look for some new headshots and updated bios on our About Us page in the coming weeks!

Podcast recording for a client in our office this morning. Our setup is very simple, a pair of Rode PodMics into a Zoom F8n, with post done in Adobe Audition. We've seen a jump in interest this year for both podcasts and vlogs, which is great. Good content is good content, and those recordings get repurposed as blogs and social posts.

Good morning ! View from our 25th-floor office as the sun comes over the horizon to highlight the edge of Chinatown through some modern office towers. Those turn-of-the-(last)century shophouses with the red tile roofs are now restaurants, bars, and the odd hedge fund. Amoy Steet just below us is home to a century-old mosque, a few temples, and a church built in the 1800s, reflecting the diversity of this island's settlers. That diversity is also reflected in the cuisine here.

A pair of RØDE Microphones PodMics front and centre for an upcoming session we'll be recording in the office. We run them through an old Sound Devices Mix Pre D when we are doing a video podcast, or a Zoom F8n when recording locally. They are low cost, dynamic mics that don't sound half bad, but this is from someone who used to mic an entire band with nothing but SM57s 😃.

Another day, another shoot. A recent two camera setup using a Sony FS5 and A7S3, with the Alpha on a Rhino Camera Gear motorised slider. Sennheiser MKH416 on sound. That is our go-to interview rig.

Dry run of an upcoming LinkedIn Live session for one of our clients. We use a tool called vMix for remote live video production for streaming. It is software, but it has many of the features we are used to from our broadcast days when everything was hardware.

We've had a lot of interest lately from clients and potential clients looking to up their content production game in 2022, and live video and podcasts are now a big part of that.

An office cleanup to kick off the new year revealed our long lost Pantone Colour Bridge Guide aka swatch book. I'm a video guy so for me "colour space" is making sure my monitor is set to Rec. 709 and not sRGB. These swatch books, in both coated and uncoated paper, are designed to show how Pantone colours might look when printed using CMYK on paper stock. We are a and agency but print is still a part of what our clients need.
