Dear Alumni and Parents,

We are excited to share that our unit is participating in the Inter Unit Drills Competition Squad organized by NPCC HQ.

The competition consists of three rounds:

Area Qualifier: Competing within Area 19 (formerly known as Area 20), where the top 2 units from each area advance to the zonal round.
Zonal Round: Units from Areas 16 to 20 (formerly Area 1, 17 to 20) compete, with the top 3 units from each zone moving on to the final round.
Final Round: The best units from each zone compete for the championship.
We are proud to announce that our drill competition squad, Squad Scorpio, has made it to the final round of the Inter Unit Drills Competition! The squad is led by two newly minted Cadet Inspectors from the Class of 2023. The achievement by the squad is a first in our unit history.

To show our support for the drill squad, we invite all alumni and parents to share messages of luck and encouragement. We’ve set up a whiteboard on Canva where you can easily leave your well wishes. On 8 November 2023, our cadets from Squad Inferno went around the vicinity of Hillion Mall as Police Youth Ambassador to raise awareness about scam. Under the guidance of police officers from Bukit Panjang NPC, our cadets taught members of public to ACT against scam - Add, Check and Tell, and encouraged them to install the ScamShield app on their phone.
Even though the sun was blazing, the experience has been meaningful as they manage to engage a lot of people, especially the elderlies. They felt that they passed on useful and important information to their community by teaching them ways to identify and not fall for scams which may affect anyone.

The National Day Parade 2023 @ The Padang was held on 9 August 2023. Mardhiyah from Squad Inferno was fortunate to be one of the parade participant. Parade training started since May this year. Every Saturday, participants undergo intense training so that they can stand proud in front of our nation for its special day.

Police Day Parade 2023 was held on 3 June 2023 at Home Team Academy. Police Day is celebrated on 3 June every year. It is a day where officers from the Singapore Police Force celebrate the achievement of the force and recognise the contribution to past and present officers.

As like our NPCC Day, the Police Day is celebrated with the Police Day Parade (PDP), which saw officers reaffirming their commitment to the nation. For every Police Day Parade, the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) will have a contingent. Jing Shan from Squad Inferno was part of the NPCC Contingent. Though the journey was short, it was a fulfilling and fun training experience.

West Spring NPCC is proud to present our SPF-NPCC Badge awardees for the year 2022. Our first awardee is Station Inspector (NPCC) Shen Ke En who was also the Overall-in-Charge of NPCC in 2022. SI Ke En has made immense contributions to the unit, and has shown remarkable performance in her role as cadet leader. Our second awardee is Station Inspector (NPCC) Javier Lee Le Yang. SI Javier was Secondary 3 squad 2IC in 2022. Like SI Ke En, he has also shown great leadership skills all while tirelessly working to ensure success in the unit. Congratulations to our two SPF-NPCC Badge awardees!

West Spring NPCC is proud to present our Best Unit Cadet (BUC) awardees for the year 2022. On the right, we have Staff Sergeant (NPCC) Ooi Kai Xuan who was the Secondary 3 squad IC for 2022. Kai Xuan has been a consistent role model throughout his four years in NPCC, and was always exemplary in his conduct. Meanwhile, on the left, we have Staff Sergeant NPCC Elaine Zhang Yi Ping who was the Secondary 1 squad IC for the year 2022. In her capacity as cadet leader, SSGT Elaine has led her team of Sec 4 trainers effectively and responsibly. Congratulations to our two BUC awardees!
