A bit of Lana Trivia: Why is the Lana Choc “Dog” cake in the shape of a Dachshund?
The dog shape was created by Mr CY Kwan (my father) in early 70s. He was the top breeder of Dachshunds in Singapore in the 60s and 70s, and was one of the founders, and Hon. Treasurer of the Singapore Kennel Club (SKC)
In the early years, customers may remember the many dachshunds running around in the garden when they came to collect their cakes from Mrs Kwan’s residence…

Coconut Dream: Lana’s hidden gem - light coconut chiffon with rich coconut cream and perfectly balanced gula-melaka is a must for coconut lovers.
On the day we bake this cake, we buy fresh grated coconut from Teka market to make coconut milk the traditional way. Only the “first squeeze” is used to make 3 parts: the chiffon, gula-melaka and coconut butter cream.
