Ray of Hope
Ray of Hope reaches out to families and individuals who have fallen on hard times. We support those Ray of Hope is much more than a crowdfunding platform.

Ever wondered what it means to be a community volunteer with Ray of Hope? π€© Here's a heartwarming story that shows how anybody can give back to the community, and we are the perfect partner to do it with:
A few weeks ago, Joanna met Eileen (our case manager) and came up with a back-to-school project to provide stationery packs to underprivileged families. Joanna and her family have been doing this for over two years at rental blocks, but this time, they wanted to ensure their donations reached families with genuine needs.
Knowing Ray of Hope's commitment as a registered crowdfunding charity with a stringent verification process, Joanna eagerly included our families in her initiative. So on Saturday, they started their day at 8:30am, spreading smiles and joy! Together with her family, Joanna delivered 100 stationery packs and grocery bags to 34 families. β€οΈ
πͺ Wishing you a wonderful festival of lights, filled with gratitude and kindness! May this Diwali bring joy not just to those of us who are celebrating but to the entire community. πβ¨ Let the briyani feasting begin!
Yesterday (29th October), armed with sunscreen, mosquito repellent and plenty of snacks, all 51 of us embarked on an adventure at the zoo! π¦πΎ
With half of us being enthusiastic and high-energy kids, you can only begin to imagine the exhaustion that settled upon the adults. But you know what? Despite the relentless heat, aching legs, and the "Are we there yet?" questions popping up occasionally, it was all worth it! ππ½
Did you know that for a family of 4, a day at the zoo can cost about $200-$250? For many low-income families, that could mean choosing between a fun day or covering their essential bills. This highlights the importance of ensuring accessibility to leisure activities for all families, regardless of their financial situation.
It's moments like these that remind us of the power of community. Thank you to Mandai Wildlife Reserve and GIC for making this happen for our families!
Life took an unexpected turn for Renuka when she suffered a severe asthma attack that changed her life forever. Her nursing career ended abruptly when she was admitted to the ICU, and a medically induced coma left her with gangrene, causing her limbs to turn black. Her family bravely decided to amputate all her limbs to save her life.
Despite her ordeal, Renuka bravely refused to let her situation define her. She chose to maintain her dignity and not seek pity, instead encouraging others to see the power of kindness in healing. With the support of her loved ones, Renuka adapted to her new reality and found a new sense of purpose.
With a mission to inspire, Renuka volunteers with an Amputee Support Group. She strives to motivate individuals like herself to find hope and purpose despite adversity. Her goal is to reignite their passion for life and encourage them to hold on to hope.
Celebrate Deepavali with a meaningful gesture of support for individuals like Renuka. We're getting closer to our goal of $8924, but we still need $5656 to make it happen. Your donation, big or small, can make a difference!

30 of us rolled up our sleeves on Saturday (October 14th) teaming up with HeySprouts and Provident Capital to do some good. Our goal? Packing fresh, wholesome produce for 133 families from 6th Sense and Beyond Social Services. π₯¬
In a world where costs keep climbing, it's a no-brainer to make sure everyone gets a fair shot at eating healthy. Our initiative, , is all about making sure low-income families don't have to make a choice between nutrition and other commitments. And, as a bonus, we're creating opportunities for young individuals with special needs to engage and hone their social and industry skills.
Thank you to everyone who made Community Harvest possible! β€

"If you think of Ray of Hope as a torch, all of us here are the guiding hands that will bring Ray of Hope to the next level". - Tai Chong (volunteer and partner).
Our volunteers are our biggest supporters and help make Ray of Hope's mission possible, and it was FINALLY our chance to celebrate them! Last Saturday, we gathered at Kampung Siglap Life Skills Training & Retreat Centre to show our utmost gratitude for the people who consistently show up to support us and the community through rain or shine (quite literally).
We were thrilled to hear many sharing their volunteering experiences with Ray of Hope and how they'd like to do more during dinner. We also had an unexpected competitive game of bingo where one attendee (IYKYK π) took to the stage to finish his entire bingo card.
All in all, we want to say a massive thank you to the people who power us. YOU are absolutely essential to our work; in fact, we couldn't do it without you. Also special shout out to Mouss and Ledyna from Penny University for starting Together-Gather right, with coffee!

What an exhilarating end to last weekend's tournament! Heartfelt thanks to every batsman, bowler, and boundary-hitting hero who stepped up on the field! Day 2 of Beyond Boundaries 2023 finally concluded last Sunday, and we were blessed to see friendships forged between Singaporeans and over an exciting cricket tournament.
Our team of also kept the competition running off the field with a plethora of challenging game booths for everyone to enjoy.

Our Story
Ray of Hope (ROH) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2013. ROH is dedicated to helping individuals and families living within our community in Singapore, who are going through hardships, who may otherwise have no access to assistance.
ROH's vision is to build a trusted platform, incorporating casework and counselling as well as programmes for the people in our community to help one another, as a positive giving experience cultivates a greater sense of individual responsibility, leading to stronger cohesion within our community.
ROH's mission is to help donors in our community help those who have fallen through the cracks.
ROH takes a structured approach. We work with all our recipients to estimate their income and living expenses, debts, medical bills et cetera before funds are raised. Disbursements are made in instalments, sometimes in the form of vouchers to ensure that the money is used appropriately. And we ensure that there is personal touch for giving where donors receive continuous and timely updates on recipients' progress.
