We can’t believe it’s already been 5 days since the forum! Thank you once again everyone for coming and being part of the journey with us ❤️ thank you for hosting us!
10 years ago, I would never have thought how my first marine conservation job in the Philippines would have brought me to where I am today. And how the pandemic 4 years ago would have shifted how Seastainable runs and the work we do. If you’re reading this, thank you for being part of my journey and I’m grateful for the support of the community, my family and stay tuned for what’s next! A big thank you to .t for this feature and embracing me into the community!
Here in Timor-Leste 🇹🇱 with as part of the youth program to explore the work that CI has been doing here since 2019. As we landed, we were warmly welcomed by the team, and glad to be with Green Boss , and Dr Toh from 🌟
Did you know that CI here supports more than 24 local marine protected areas (MPA) here in Timor-Leste? We’ll be here exploring key conservation cites for Conservation International, and interact with local stakeholders and community.
Thanks very much once again to the CI team for giving us the opportunity to learn and grow through this exprience. Want to know what we’re up to? Check out our highlights!
Thank you for having my back literally 🥲 and everyone here who has been supporting .co for the past 7 years! Starting my 2024 committed to better health, and a better work station - after battling lower back pains, injured wrists resulting in making work, including cleanups, almost intolerable.
Unfortunately one of the key themes of 2023 was injury, and I was out of cleanups, exercise for at least 3/4 of 2023. I felt very much at my lowest lows at certain points, and realized how I had tagged my identity so much to the initiatives I was doing.
Come 2024, I’m planning to do my physio exercises more frequently, and commit to healthier work habits. Honestly, I didn’t realize how important a good chair was to me - thankful for amazing friends like who introduced me to . I can safely say that back to work, I can’t live without this chair - in ensuring my wrist is well supported, my lower back is protected.
In the spirit of , it was honestly very hard for me to find something that I liked for the past 3 years so I was really happy to know that my chair’s carbon footprint is 33.96 kg CO2e (which I’ve offset with ) and is made out of 53.81% Recycled Materials.

Join us for our next youth session on the 6 of December!
I am honoured to be a part of which brings together passionate youth climate leaders and world leading climate experts from six continents in thought-provoking conversations about the most pressing issue of our time.
Together with Ilona Mettiäinen, Visiting Researcher at the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland, Finland, I had the privilege of delving into discussions about climate change, COP28, the pivotal role that young people play and our hopes for a better future.
This film is a testament to the immense skills, knowledge, and expertise that youth climate leaders and climate experts contribute to the fight against climate change. It serves as a clarion call for the integration of young people into national climate negotiating teams and global climate decision-making processes.

Good news Monday! All proceeds from this event were donated to our Seastainable x Carbon Ethics partnerships where we planted mangroves in Bintan! We’re excited that making an impact can start with our young ones who will be leaders of our future!

Our Story
Seastainable is a business that supports marine conservation in Singapore and the Philippines. We do this by encouraging individuals to reduce their plastic consumption through the use of our seastainable straws, while channeling our profits to environmental organisations in need.
As an organization, we also commit to improving sustainability in Singapore through our metal straws and other products. We pledge to give a portion our profits to different marine conservation groups. We are pleased to share that we have already sold over 300 straws sets.
You may find out which organisations that we support. We do not want to give blindly to any organization, and therefore hard work, effort and research has been given to identify which are the best organisations to support. We are always happy to share with you what we do, please drop us a message anytime!
