The Ljubljana Summer School is an intensive program in English aimed at Slovenian and foreign students of all disciplines. The Ljubljana Summer School is an intensive program in English aimed at Slovenian and foreign students of all disciplines. Students choose between undergraduate and graduate courses that encourage project and intercultural work in groups. The program also includes numerous social and sports activities dedicated to getting acquainted with Slovenian culture, customs and tourist attractions.

[Ljubljana Summer School – Courses] From 4 until 22 July 2022, 15 courses in English are taught by academics from 10 countries and 15 institutions.
Lecturers encourage project and intercultural work in groups.

[Ljubljana Summer School – Optional programme] Trip to Bled and Bohinj organised by

Bohinj is a green Oasis in the Julian Alps. Students discovered that the Savica waterfall is unique among waterfalls in the world, as the water flow splits into two streams in the hidden underground. They enjoyed canoeing on the Bohinj lake, in the wonderful world of beauty, peace and tranquillity. Pleasantly tired from the fresh mountain air, they continued the journey to , the Green pearl of the Slovenian Alps. Finally they tasted Bled’s original local pastry, Bled custard cake (try to pronounce it in Slovenian »blejska kremšnita«).

[Ljubljana Summer School – Optional programme] Trip to Sečovlje Salina Nature Park and Piran with

Authentic experience at the Sečovlje Salt Pans are one of the last salt pans in the Mediterranean, where salt is obtained manually with a method which is several hundred years’ old. The trip continued to the pearl of the Slovenian coast, the city of Piran Students discovered a town at the very end of the Piranese peninsula, adorned by timeless sensational romance. In Piran, a deep-rooted tradition of salt panning merges with countless stories of the narrow town streets and the picturesque sights of the Slovenian Mediterranean. Piran became a part of Roman empire in 177 BC, later, between 13th and 17th century, it was governed by the Republic of Venice and left a staple at city's architecture.

[Ljubljana Summer School – Classic Ljubljana city tour] Students can now tell you the secret of why the dragon 🐉 is the symbol of the city and how Iulia Aemona was founded 2000 ⏳years ago as a Roman settlement. 🏛🏺
Ljubljana is certainly a city with a rich history and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.

Doctoral Summer School online courses are intended for PhD students, post-docs, academics and professionals. The specialised 1-week online courses are taught by renowned international academics from 7 countries and 10 institutions. Participants can register for 1 or 2 courses (one per week).
