🇸🇰 The Výročie SNP Fest is a festival in Slovakia that commemorates the anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising (SNP), which took place in 1944 during World War II. The uprising was a significant resistance movement against N**i occupation and the collaborationist Slovak government.

📣 15 OPEN POSITIONS FOR THE FSR POST-DOC FELLOWSHIPS CALL 2025

🔵 The FSR Post-doc 2025 call is now open for INCOMING POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCHERS. The 2025 call is funded by 💸FSR funds and will allow to award 15 post-doctoral 3 years-fellowships.

🔵 AIM OF THE PROGRAM: The program targets incoming researchers to reinforce the host institution's international dimension by supporting highly-qualified post-docs from abroad, aiming to build scientific collaborations and networks, and assigning fellowships to PhD holders who demonstrate expertise and research capacity.

🕰 DURATION OF THE STAY: The stay should cover periods of 12 up to 36 months

👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ELIGIBLE SCIENTISTS:
Applicants to a FSR Incoming post-doc Fellowship must:

✅ Hold a doctoral degree (PhD), obtained after defense of a thesis, issued by an academic institution no later than May 1st, 2025.
✅ At the reference date of February 5th, 2025, the candidate may not have obtained his/her doctoral degree for more than 5 years.
✅ The maximum period laid down in the above paragraph shall be increased by one year per childbirth and / or adoption following the award of the PhD academic degree.
✅ Be in mobility condition, i.e. not having resided nor carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Belgium for more than 24 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the starting date of the project1.
All nationalities are eligible.

👤 Ľudovít Štúr was a key figure in Slovak history and the Slovak national movement. He led the Slovak national revival in the 19th century and standardized the Slovak language in 1843, creating the foundation for modern literary Slovak.

👀 DISCOVER THE WORLD OF FAMOUS SLOVAKS 🌏

👨‍🚀Astronomer, aviator, diplomat, French army brigadier general, politician, and charismatic statesman—MILAN RASTISLAV ŠTEFÁNIK was a prominent early 20th-century Slovak figure.

👨‍🎓 After receiving a doctorate from the University of Prague in 1904, Štefánik moved to Paris, joined the Meudon observatory and took part in scientific expeditions🛰. He became a French citizen 🇫🇷, joined the army in World War I 🚀and supported the Czechoslovak liberation movement.

💬 He also played an important role in promoting and understanding between France and various Slavic nations, and promoted the independence of Czechoslovakia.

✈️ Štefánik's life was cut short. On May 4, 1919, while returning to Czechoslovakia from Italy, his plane crashed near Bratislava, Slovakia. Both Štefánik and his fellow passengers died in the accident. The airport in Bratislava is named after him.

✨ STAIRCASE: SUSTAINABLE WORKING CONDITIONS IN ACADEMIA SURVEY ✨

📅 Only until July 15 can you share your experience with the research work environment in the STAIRCASE survey - the largest European survey focused on mental health and well-being in academia. 💆‍♀️The survey is conducted by Researcher Mental Health Observatory COST Action.

🎯 THE GOAL: to better understand the impact of working conditions on MENTAL HEALTH in , identify factors that support a HEALTHY and SUSTAINABLE work environment, and gain insights to formulate evidence-based .

👥 WHO IT´S FOR : primarily academic staff and PhD students 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

🔎 WHAT IT EXAMINES: how differences in organizational environments affect individuals' mental health and well-being. It focuses on positive indicators such as work engagement and job satisfaction, as well as negative indicators including work addiction and burnout syndrome. It also considers contextual factors within institutions and countries that may influence mental health indicators.
