Reflecting on his latest collection, Udomsak Rachaderm, a glass artist at shares:”In moments of stillness, though everything in front of us continues to move with the passage of time— whether the natural beauty of the environment around us, the clouds floating slowly over quiet mountains, or the waves crashing out without end— we are touched by an indelible and profound beauty and sense of being one with the world that can only be experienced, not explained.”

Introducing Pare Patcharapa, whose work is featured in "Summer Exhibition: A Celebration of Diversity in Art," on view through September 17.
Pare Patcharapa presents a selection of artworks that are a meditation on memory, forgetting and loss. Her paintings evoke the transience of the present moment, which always escapes capture. Standing in front of her canvases, she allows fragments of memory to emerge and coalesce into layered landscapes that spill forth from the tip of her brush. Deeply intuitive in her process, she allows color to determine form and

Natasha Barnes is a self-taught fine artist from South Africa. Out of natural talent and pure passion for painting, Barnes has developed a profound style reflective of expressionism, distinguished by sophisticated mark-making and a dynamic marriage of colour and texture that evokes fluidity, movement and the sense of undertaking a ‘journey’ with every piece. Barnes’ inspirations stem from her travels and love for the rich images in her life, which are absorbed and transferred to the canvas without direct observation. Her subject matter dictates the flow of the paint and, as a result, forms take on an element of the unreal, moving into the world of abstraction.

The works in Knakorn Kachacheewa’s 2010 collection, “Limbic System”, are visual representations of poetic dreams, evocative of past paintings through the use of certain conventions and frames. Establishing a direct link between Kachacheewa’s surrealist compositions and the primitive brain, the title of the series, “Limbic System”, reflects on the brain’s vulnerability to stimulation and manufactured desire by consumerist media. The works possesses an internal logic that is flexible rather than systematic, rooted in humanity rather than any particular neuroscience theory.
