8 August 2024 - His Excellency Sazali Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Türkiye together with seven other ASEAN Ambassadors celebrated the 57th ASEAN Day at the Embassy of Indonesia in Ankara, Türkiye. The theme for this year's ASEAN Day celebration is "Connected and Resilient Community". This year's ASEAN Day was graced by His Excellency Burhanettin Duran, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.

The event was celebrated with the participation of diplomatic corps from all eight ASEAN member countries and its Dialogue Partners, senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, academia, think tanks, ASEAN citizens residing in Türkiye and members of the media.

Malaysia took the opportunity to promote Malaysian cuisines such as roti jala , curry chicken, nasi goreng kampung, nasi impit with peanut sauce , kuih seri muka and teh tarik. Malaysia also performed traditional malay songs during the event.

6 August 2024 - His Excellency Sazali Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Turkiye met seven MUSIAD members at the Embassy of Malaysia in Ankara. The delegation from MUSIAD was led by Mr. Osman Nuri Onugoren, Chairman of Diplomatic Relations Commission.

Ambassador Sazali was briefed on the upcoming programmes that will be organised by MUSIAD, namely the MUSIAD Expo International Trade Fair in Istanbul and the MUSIAD Anatolian Economic Diplomacy. The meeting also discussed strategies to further enhance business collaboration between Malaysia and Turkiye.

8 July 2024 - His Excellency Sazali Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Türkiye together with seven other ASEAN Ambassadors attended the luncheon hosted by His Excellency Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs at MFA Turkiye.

CDA a.i Clara together with 7 other ASEAN Ambassadors/ CDA a.i attended the handing over of rotating chairmanship of the ASEAN-Ankara Committee (AAC) from Cambodia to Indonesia, which was held at the Movenpick Hotel Ankara. The chairmanship will now be helm by Indonesia for the next 6 months from July – December 2024.

Malaysia congratulated Cambodia for their successful chairmanship and look forward to support the activities/programmes under the Indonesian chairmanship.

31 May 2024 - YB Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Minister of Plantation and Commodities, visited the Embassy of Malaysia in Ankara, Turkiye. We are honoured to host the visit for the Minister and his delegation.

The Minister also met Prof. Dr. Omer Bolat, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkiye. Both sides had a fruitful meeting and exchange of views on strengthening cooperation in the fields of trade, agri commodity and connectivity.

27 May 2024 - The Embassy of Malaysia in Ankara received a delegation consisting of senior academicans from University Technology MARA and officials from the Inland Revenue Board, PERKESO and Selayang Municipality.

The delegation had a fruitful engagement with Embassy officials and exchange of views on the role and functions of Malaysian embassies abroad in addressing consular and international issues.

21 May 2024 - His Excellency Sazali Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Turkiye, met with Malaysian students in Agri Province. The Ambassador took the opportunity to promote the MADANI concept that emphasises on the core values of inclusiveness and living in harmony.

The engagement session with the students is also part of the Embassy's role in engaging Malaysians abroad through Program Mendampingi Rakyat Malaysia and in ensuring the welfare of Malaysians are safeguarded.

21 May 2024 - His Excellency Sazali Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Turkiye had a working visit to Agri Province. The Ambassador begin his visit by meeting Professor Dr. Abdulhalik Karabulut, Rector of Agri Ibrahim Cecen University. Both sides had a fruitful discussion on strengthening cooperation in the field of higher learning through collaboration in conducting researches in the fields of medicines, pharmacies, chemistry and nuclear physics.

Ambassador Sazali then paid a courtesy call on Mr. Mustafa Koc, Governor of Agri. Both sides shared their views on the development of Agri Province as a destination for tourism, culture exchange, agriculture and education.

20 April 2024 - His Excellency Sazali Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Türkiye delivered an opening remark and launched the book entitled 'Humanising Education: The Turkish Experience in Malaysia' in Istanbul.

Ambassador Sazali also shared his experience as an alumni of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM ) and took the opportunity to promote IIUM as a preferred destination for education in Malaysia.

The book launching event was attended by the rector and alumnus of the IIUM in Turkiye.

27 March 2024 - His Excellency Sazali Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Türkiye delivered an opening remarks during the webinar on Tapping into Türkiye’s Renewable Energy Sector' which was organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).

The Ambassador highlighted the importance of green technology in reducing the reliance on fossil fuels and coal productions as it would provide long term benefits in terms of lower energy cost, reducing air pollution and generation of jobs through renewable energy technologies.

The webinar was attended by more than 70 Turkish and Malaysian participants with the view to strengthen trade between Malaysia and Türkiye.

The event was attended by Prof Dr Temel Kotil, Chairman of Malaysia - Türkiye Business Council and a number of business representatives such as Gama Energy, Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen, Turkish Aerospace, FNSS, Havelsan, MS Spektral and DORCE.

The business dialogue session provides an opportunity for business-to-business engagements and a better understanding in doing business in Malaysia and Turkiye.

5 March 2024 - His Excellency Sazali Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Türkiye met Professor Dr. Abdulhalik Karabulut, Rector of the Agri Ibrahim Cecen University (AICU) and Dr. Nimetullah Aldemir, Head of International Office AICU in Ankara.

Both sides had a fruitful exchange of views on strengthening cooperation in the field of higher education between Malaysia and Türkiye.

Malaysia has 85 students studying in AICU in various fields such as social sciences and Islamic studies.

21 February 2024 - Ambassador Sazali Mustafa Kamal together with seven other ASEAN Ambassadors / CDA a.i. had an engagement with Mr. Osman Saglam, Head of Delegation of Türkiye to the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary relations and Member Parliament (MP) of Karaman. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Murat Cahid Cingi, MP of Kayseri and Ms. Muzeyyen Sevkin, MP of Adana.

During the session, Ambassador Sazali highlighted the need for ASEAN to enhance cooperation in the field of education which includes research on specific fields such as exchange of lecturers and think tanks.

21 February 2024 - His Excellency Sazali Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Türkiye convened a dialogue session with Malaysians in Ankara regarding Malaysia Madani and Turkish Politics in the lead-up to the Turkish Municipal Elections on 31 March 2024.

The dialogue session provides an excellent opportunity for Malaysians to engage in an exchange of information and establish networking among the participants. This is also part of the Embassy's initiative to foster bond and friendships among the Malaysian diaspora living in Turkiye.

15 February 2024 - Ambassador Sazali had a fruitful discussion and exchange of information with Tuan Haji Amin Fahmi, Chairman of the Malaysian International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MIICCI) on strategies in promoting Malaysian Halal products in Türkiye.

Ambassador Sazali also suggested for closer cooperation between MIICCI and the Embassy in exploring greater work on Malaysian Halal products be brought to the country and to be exported to surrounding regions including Europe, Middle East and Africa.

During the Meeting, Ambassador Sazali also extended an invitation to MIICCI to attend a business dialogue between companies from Malaysia and Turkiye.

15 January 2024 - His Excellency Sazali Mustafa Kamal, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Turkiye had a meeting with Mr. Serdar Sinlak, Honorary Consul of Malaysia to Izmir. Representatives from MATRADE and MIDA Istanbul also joined in the meeting.

During the meeting, both sides discussed Malaysia- Turkiye investment opportunities and Malaysia as an investment hub for the ASEAN region.
