I wanted to share this on behalf of Jackie and the opportunity for yoga in town. Looks like fun in this great weather.🙌

The weather looks great for this outdoor event. First of its kind-glad you are part of it!
What to expect:
Class is from 6-7’pm in the courtyard of The Proper Pelican on Concorde Street in Abbeville. Come early or stay late to shop and mingle.
What to bring:
*1 very cushioned yoga mat, or 2 of regular thickness. We will be outdoors on a patio, so bring padding.
*A light blanket for shavasana
*Bug spray
*Water
$15 cash or Venmo

☕️🕺🏻Next time you go make your coffee in the morning, 👇do this as you get it brewing:
🔹Inhale and STRETCH hands over your head, reach really big for the ceiling, sway side to side, and exhale arms down. ☕️Coffee stretch!
🕺🏻It only takes a second and these little movements improve your wellbeing instantly.
😍And I’ve got to say, that my milk frother in the AM with my Nespresso, makes me so happy. It’s the little things….🙌

There are 5 major areas of well-being: ⬇️
1️⃣ physical 2️⃣ social 3️⃣ financial, 4️⃣ community 5️⃣ purpose.
To be thriving, you need ALL of these types of well-being individualized for your personality.
👩‍🍼As a new mom, this is great to know in theory, but not very realistic to reach all these different areas. ⏰⌛️Simply, there is lack of time, sleep, and options available. In the last year, I have realized how little resources there are for new moms to connect, breathe and move, especially in a small town.
👩‍👦So, I would love to create a NEW Mommy & Me class where you can socialize, connect, move, BREATHE, manage stress, and move. And not worry about childcare!

What are we doing in class tonight @5:30? 🧐Preparing for Easter.😉

🔹Moving the spine and body in different directions to reduce pain and tightness, while preventing chronic issues.
🔹Strengthening & stretching both the MIND & BODY.
🔹Managing stress, rewiring brain pathways, training our breath, and learning to ENGAGE & REST.
🔹Taking CONTROL of our wellbeing. 💯Most of us are not taught how to take control of our brain and bodies. This is what we are doing TOGETHER in a nonjudgmental community. Wellbeing takes work. It’s WAY easier to beat ourselves up, so we practice how to flip that default negative switch.

May we be healthy.
May we be pain free.
May we be brave.
May we feel fearful, but do it anyways.
May we take our power back.

🦵Need to work on your balance? 🫁🧠Use it or lose it. 🧐😍Watching a baby learn to stand and walk is interesting because they just keep GOING. They don’t judge or critique. They just go for it, fall, cry it out, modify, and then go again. 🙌
🔜✔️In our classes, we stick to this motto too. 💪Just go for it, stumble, vent it out, and go again. Let go of the self judgement….this takes relentless practice too!!🙄😬

Reminder for classes at our new location: Blush Boutique! Make sure to confirm your spot. Space is LIMITED & spots must be BOOKED.
✔️Make sure you go to the new location-across from war memorial and diagonally from Calabria restaurant. NOT across from church.🥳
Blush is downtown @ 119 Concord St. Very safe and lots of parking. 🔜We have class twice a week at 5:30 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays. The store is closed on Mondays, so we have the place to ourselves and they close on Wednesdays at 5:30. You are welcome to come early and shop around (when they are open). I will be there at 5ish as normal. We are located in the back of the store, but enter through main door (VERY heavy).
🧠🫁Every class is different and always a combination of Yoga Therapy, Pilates, Stretch & Strength, and tons of breath work, meditation, and stress management tools.
Class is $15…you can pay via Venmo, cash or check. Venmo is under Kathryn_mobley 1 or my number. Please bring whatever props you have and wear comfy clothes. Please make sure you are healthy and not feeling sick/unwell to come to class. I still have mats, green rollers, blocks and other props if you need any on location.

👏🏼🥳We have EXCITING news!!!🎉🔑
We have a NEW location starting TODAY for class @5:30PM. ✔️We have partnered up with Blush Boutique downtown and will be sharing the back of their space.
BALANCE & BLUSH! It’s a gorgeous location and fits our current needs. Thank you for your patience and loyalty over the last two years. Ironically, it’s almost exactly two years from when all nonessential business were mandated to close due to Covid. I have definitely learned the true lesson of “modifying.”
And just like that….
🔜Enter through the front door (it’s a heavy door) and class will start like normal at 5:30. They close their business at 5:30pm so it will be nice and quiet. 🙏🏻🙌There’s a beautiful courtyard too that we can use for Spring! ☀️🌷🪴

Are you this excited for FIND your FIT classes on Mondays and Wednesdays @ 5:30 PM?!! 🔜🫁🧠🦵😍
I am almost one year postpartum, and there is SOOOO much I have to say about the mental/physical support for new moms. We do A LOT of breath work and stress relief management that is SO helpful for everyone, especially new moms.
Everyone focuses on breathing for labor, but what about AFTERWARDS and you haven’t slept with a crying baby?😱🙏🏻
🤨Also, how is there even a saying that we should “bounce back” after creating a HUMAN BEING??? That’s just absurd.
💪Learn to modify and build up your NEW superwoman normal is what we focus on in class. Adapt for where you are NOW. 💪👏🏼

✍️NEW class starting January 31st, Monday @5:30 PM! Move, breathe & stress relief.💪🫁👃👣
We are going to be doing A LOT of breath work in classes this year. This isn’t wellness anymore. Training the breath and strengthening the lungs is absolutely NECESSARY in our pandemic world. 🫁🗣Learning and training to breathe (most of us are NOT taught this) reduces pain and disease while strengthening your respiratory and immune systems. It can heal SOOO many ailments. 🙌I’m pretty obsessed with how we can use this FREE tool to stay healthy and resilient.
✔️See if you can start with just this in the photo. If you can’t reach that high, just do what you can. You will get stronger.

This is a heat map of how emotions show up in the body. 🧠🫀🫁
The gist: EVERYTHING is connected in our mind AND body.
👋A lot of us grew up with the generations of: “sweep it under the rug” and “don’t cry” and “push it away.”
🤭👩‍👧
Well, this science shows that this just can’t be done without your mental & physical health being impacted.
🧐What can we DO? How can we help emotions NOT get stuck, so we reduce pain, tension, and 75% of chronic preventable health issues?
Acknowledge what you are feeling: “I’m FEELING happy, sad, angry, etc.”
My fave: use your BREATH and MOVE. The brain will follow the body.

✍️Goals in life: Don’t end up BACK on a walker when I’m 90. 👩‍👧Baby lessons: it takes persistence, practice, falling over, crying and needing a cuddle, shaking it off, getting right back up without judgement, doing it over again and again with the whole spectrum of emotions. 💪🙌
