Let’s talk about the BEST way to clean your scalp! But first let me tell you about the risk of hair loss when you let your wash days slide.

I'm showing a magnified view of sweat, oil, sebum, and product build up from not washing frequently or correctly.

🚨 Why buildup = hairloss. When buildup occurs, the hair follicle becomes clogged, and new hairs cannot develop properly. This leads to hair loss.

Let's talk about how to correctly DEEP clean the scalp:

•Start with a scalp massager, while the hair is DRY (before washing) use the massager in circular motions to lift any build up that has settled onto the scalp.🪮

•Wash hair TWO times (wash & rinse x2, condition ends only & rinse)🧼

•Add a clarifying shampoo. If you have dry hair, use it less often (every 4/5 washes)
If you have oily hair, or use a lot of products in between wash days, use it more often (every 3/4 washes)
ALL hair types may want to clarify more during the summer, due to sweat.☀️

•Come see me every 6 weeks for the 8 or 10-step headspa to completely detox and refresh the scalp.🫧

🌞 Now that summer is approaching and with the increase in temp, I'm changing these two things. Follow along with me!
1️⃣. More hair wash days.

With increased heat, and especially if it's humid, you're going to sweat more. So wash your hair more!

This goes for ALL hair types! If your winter washes are twice a week, wash 3/4 times a week. If you wash your hair once a week, wash twice a week!

Sweat and sebum blocks hair follicles as well as fosters bacteria. You must wash your hair more if you want it to keep growing strong and healthy✅

💧My 10 & 8 step treatment can help you clear out excess sebum and sweat buildup.💧

2️⃣. Cover the head.

Sun damage on the scalp can cause hair loss that can be irreversible. There are powder and mist sunscreens made for hair! If you’re applying topical sunscreens to the scalp, be sure to wash it out each night.

Try to cover your scalp with a cute hat or scarf as much as you can while having fun in the sun. 👒 Your scalp and hair in your later years will thank you!
