Feast of Queenship of Blessed Virgin Mary. See you there
Today is the feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Church celebrates the Queenship of Mary because her Divine Son is King. Pope Pius XII, having declared the dogma of the Assumption, that “the Immaculate Mother of God … was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory,” then established the feast of her Queenship to be on the octave (8th day) after the Solemnity of the Assumption.

Celebrating the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart
Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and tomorrow, the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Pope St. John Paul II, a great devotee of the Sacred Heart, said, “[The feast of the Sacred Heart] reminds us of the mystery of the love of God for the people of all times.”
St. Louis de Montfort said of our Blessed Mother’s Immaculate Heart, “If you put all the love of all the mothers into one heart, it still would not equal the love of the heart of Mary for her children.” When we honor the Immaculate Heart, we give ultimate honor to Jesus.
We have a special page dedicated to the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart, and another on the Immaculate Heart of Mary. On these pages, we answer questions such as:
What is the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus?
What is the enthronement to the Sacred Heart?
Why do we honor Mary’s Immaculate Heart?
What does it mean to consecrate oneself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary?
On these pages, we also offer free eBooks, The Twelve Promises of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart Prayer Book. These eBooks reflect on two of the most beloved devotions in the Church.
We hope these resources help you draw closer to Our Lord and Our Lady and entrust yourself to their Sacred and Immaculate Hearts. May God bless you as you celebrate these feasts!
In Christ,
Your EWTN Family

Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ -Corpus Christi
“This is the wonderful truth, my dear friends: the Word, which became flesh two thousand years ago, is present today in the Eucharist.”
– Pope St. John Paul II
The Solemnity of Corpus Christi, also known as the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, honors Jesus Christ, Really, Truly, and Substantially Present under the appearances of bread and wine. This year, Corpus Christi was on June 8, but it is transferred to today, June 11, in some dioceses.
We will have a procession today.
To celebrate Corpus Christi before the final blessings. Hope to see you all today at 9:00 am.

Today the Church celebrates the feast of Pentecost.
On this day, Christians commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, gathered around the Mother of the Lord (Acts Chapter 2). This feast is celebrated on the 50th and final day of the Easter season.
The Holy Spirit is vital in the mission of the Church. When the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles, they immediately began proclaiming the Gospel. This is why Pentecost is considered the birthday of the Church!
