Over the past 2 weekends, members of WCLSC have been busy, covering standby events for the car show, participating in the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, and standing by for the Food City family picnic. It’s been great getting to see everyone and their family’s out enjoying the summer activities, hanging out with members from other agencies, and even enjoying a K-9 demonstration from WCSO. Thanks to all the members who have helped out, especially those who donated to the blood drive. A special shout out to the lady behind the majority of these photos, EMT E. Felty.

Another successful EMT class has come to an end! All students who have tested ( thur far) have passed their National Register on the first attempt! This time we were lucky enough to have a makeup artist help us to make our trauma and medical patients look more realistic for an increased real life testing scenario. The instructor, evaluators, and “patients” had a great time preparing for the students.
If you are interested in taking a class with us, the next class starts in August! Disclaimer: all live patients depicted are volunteers, all evaluators have EMT training or higher, and all scenarios are simulated for training and testing purposes only.
