We are excited to welcome Macy Barbacano and Ally O'Rourke-Barrett to the team!

Macy will teach middle school reading and writing, and Ally will teach middle school science and social studies.

Macy and Ally were part of Center School before becoming official members of our team this year.

Macy has been a CS summer school teacher for two years. Ally is our educational consultant who has created our new PBL curriculum and wants to return to teaching. They have both jumped right into their new roles and can not wait to meet everyone!

How time flies! We can not wait to welcome students back to school in one week!

This week, teachers are busy preparing lots of fun things for the upcoming school year, and they are getting excited to see everyone again.

Remember, the first day of school is Tuesday, September 3rd.

It was wonderful seeing everyone last night for our parent meeting and social. We hope you had a great time and enjoyed meeting some new friends.

The HIVE was busy last night! We loved watching the conversations, new families meeting current families, and everyone enjoying the delicious food and beverages that were provided.

We are excited to announce that Mr. Ed Hayes, Fox Rothschild Partner, has accepted the nomination to serve as Chairman of our Board of Trustees.

Mr. Hayes's clear insight and leadership, coupled with his commitment to Center School's success, have been instrumental in securing Center School as the premiere school in the tri-state area for students with language-based learning disabilities.

Dyslexia is a lifelong condition that can affect people differently, but it doesn't affect intelligence.

We are excited to host a dyslexia simulation with the Pennsylvania Branch of The International Dyslexia Association on September 26th. The simulation often begins with a brief discussion of dyslexia, including its neurological basis, warning signs, and interventions that have been shown, through solid research, to have a positive impact.

Participants then participate in a series of simulated activities that mimic the experiences and processing of those with dyslexia.

Miss Makeda Farley, welcome to the Center School community!

Miss Farley joins us as the Academic and Curriculum Lead. She has extensive experience in the education field and has jumped right into her position.

Miss Farley is excited to meet everyone at the parent meeting on August 22nd!

We are preparing for students and teachers to return in a few short weeks but we are also in full planning mode for our 2025 Summer program.

Every year, we offer learning and enrichment programs encompassing learning and having fun!

Center School is seeking a Middle School Reading Teacher.

The Middle School Reading Teacher is a Reading Specialist who works to meet the diverse needs of the learners in the classroom. The Middle School Reading Teacher designs lessons that focus on reading strategy and skill development, vocabulary development, and writing. Creativity is embraced and encouraged as teachers are given opportunities to exercise professional judgment and customize the curriculum.

Join us for a powerful and informative evening. All welcome (ideally children will be aged 7+ in order to enjoy the simulation)

Who is watching the Olympics? What is your favorite event?

We were drawn to the track and field events, especially to the USA athlete Noah Lyles, who won the gold medal for the 100-meter sprint! He did not let any of his challenges stand in his way of achieving success!
