The Meadowbrook School

Our Head of School, Mr. Reardon, had a blast hanging with students during recess time today! He even joined in on the fun and games!

It’s only the second week of school and we have already done SO MANY AMAZING THINGS! And, of course we’re having fun because at Meadowbrook, we 🌞

Meet Ms. Shim, our new 3rd grade teacher! She is excited to watch her students grow and become one with the Meadowbrook family!

Meet Mrs. Eyre, our new music teacher! She is most excited for musicals, chime choir, and playing lots of instruments. She can’t wait for students to dance, play and be active, and bring music to life! 🎶

Of course it’s the first day of school for all of our great students, but it’s also the first day at Meadowbrook for some of our new faculty members. Meet Mr. Hicks, our new science teacher, who is looking forward to labs, labs and more labs, as well as playing in the garden and getting to design experiments!

Congratulations to Nico, who is joining his other Meadowbrook grad siblings at Abington Friends School next year! Nico has been a wonderful student and we are going to miss him - Congrats Nico!!

John will be attending Bryn Athyn in the fall! We are going to miss his infectious smile on campus! We wish him all the best in his exciting future! Way to go, John!

Congrats to the lovely Hannah! Hannah will be attending Norwood this fall, and we are so excited about all the great things she will accomplish there! Can’t wait to see you when you visit us!

Today is the last day of school for our Early Education Division and they marked this special occasion with a wonderful musical! Lead by the amazing Mrs. Borrmann, students performed, “The Little Engine That Could”, and did a spectacular (and adorable) job! Congrats to all of our youngest students!!

Congratulations to this awesome grad, Jacob! Jacob will be heading to Bryn Athyn in the fall, and we are excited to hear about all the wonderful things he will do there! Looking forward to having him visit us next year, as well!

Alumni may remember creating a big USA cake in 4th grade and we are happy to report that this tradition lives on through giant USA cookies! All of the candy 4th grade used represents different landforms like rivers, mountains and more!

It’s the end of an era as Ruby is the last of her siblings to graduate from Dear Old Meadowbrook! Ruby will be attending Abington Middle School in the fall and we will miss her very much! Congrats!

Congratulations to this wonderful lady, Raelyn, who will be attending Bryn Athyn in the fall! We will miss her smiling face and hope she comes back to visit us!

Today we are congratulating Jack, who is making his way to Springside Chestnut Hill Academy in the fall! We can’t wait to hear about all the great things Jack accomplishes there, especially on the field/court!

Congratulations to Ashton, who will be attending Abington Middle School next year! Although Ashton joined us here at Meadowbrook only last year, it feels like he’s been with us forever! Best of luck, Ashton!

Congratulations to Albert, who is heading to St. Katherine Drexel in the fall! We are so proud of you and hope you come back to visit!

The ladies & knights of Meadowbrook performed for their kingdom today in our Annual Medieval Festival! Such a joyous tradition to cap off their unit on medieval times, followed by a special feast for our sixth graders!

What’s cooler than getting to be Librarian for the Day! These students got to spend an awesome day with Mrs. Keenan reading to students, sorting books, and helping students check books out. As a bonus, there was a special Rita’s treat!

Yesterday was a great day for Field Trips! 1st and 6th grades headed to Fonthill Castle as part of their units on Medieval times. 3rd grade took a trip to Pennsbury Manor to learn more about our beautiful state, Pennsylvania! 🚌💨
